OK thanks everybody! Anybody got a particular favourite? Who does the best 12 month free deals? Cheers0
-
If you want to go for reliability then stick with the big companies...CW or the Link. However these big companies may not have the best deals.
Have a look here
Once you see a 12 month free deal you like just search for the company on this forum to see if they are reliable or not."He's a maniac, maniac that's for sure,
He will kill your cat and nail him to the door"

I son't think that CPW or Link have any 12 month free?!
Do any reliable companys price match?0 -
Mobileshop.com are currently not paying out cashbacks due to 'technical' problems and do not know when they will be able to again so maybe one to miss.0

Thanks, any more advice. I am about to go with coolnewmobile?!?
A reader of my site who was about to go with CNM recently asked me for advice about their claims procedure and this is what I told him...
(1) They should email you a claims voucher that you print out and fill in for each claim - if this email never materialises, you have a limited time to notify them of this error.
(2) Like many non Carphone Warehouse owned retailers, only original bills are accepted - always take copies for your records before mailing them off
(3) the relevant bill to send is the first bill that you receive after 4, 6 8, 10 & 12 months of connection - assuming the date printed on the bill shows that you have been connected for the full 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 months. i.e. if your first bill shows that you are connected today (11 April) then the first bill to send would be the first bill dated on or after 11 August. If you send in a claim too early, they will charge you £10.
(4) They charge similarly for incomplete or incorrect claims so make sure you print your order number carefully and state the correct amount of cashback - simply divide the cashback amount by 5, as it is split equally between the 5 payments.
(5) IIRC, CNM's terms used to state that they would invalidate the remaining cashback if two early/incorrect claims were sent in - the current terms don't say this but I wouldn't test them on this point.
(6) I would strongly recommend sending all claims by special delivery with consequential loss cover UNDER SEPARATE COVER - I put the last bit in capital letters as CNM have a clause in their T&Cs that states the following: "We do not accept more than one claim per envelope. We are looking for one correct claim per envelope and we shred all further paperwork. You risk losing your claim altogether if you adopt this practice and the excess paperwork is shredded."
****If you are making more than one purchase, you may have been tempted to save money by combining your claims into a single envelope but it would inevitably cost you dearly if you overlook this particular warning.****
I would consider the £26.25 cost of Special Delivery with consequential loss mailings (5 claims * £5.25 SD+CL cost) as a necessary cost of insuring your cashback for your purchase. I've heard horror stories of Recorded delivery spectacularly failing some cashback customers - Special Delivery has a next day guarantee and allows you to purchase consequential loss cover, which should compensate you for the loss of your cashback - without consequential loss, you are only insured for the actual value of the contents, not the consequences of failed or late delivery.
(7) Although it's obvious to state that tariff downgrades are disallowed, it would appear that tariff upgrades are also disallowed as their T&Cs state the following: "All cash back claims become null and void if your tariff is changed within the contract period."
Although the above should be sufficient information for your needs, it should be read alongside their full T&Cs for safety.
You can find their full T&Cs here:
