Saddle into a clay drainage pipe

Good afternoon.
Am wanting to put in some better drainage on my drive and need to connect to an existing underground clay pipe thats connected to another surface water drain. Have dug down to it and have looked at options and found that a saddle would be the easiest method but after looking online cant seem to find where to buy them anywhere?

drainage center (part of plumb center group)
On clayware or concrete pipes, creating the hole is a fairly skilled job; on larger pipes, a core-cutter may be used to drill a receiving hole, or a series of smaller holes, say 10mm diameter, may be 'stitch-drilled' to the required perimeter of the hole. On smaller pipes, especially 150mm and 225mm clayware, the hole is normally started with a transverse cut made by a power saw and gradually enlarged with a small hammer. Extreme care needs to be exercised to avoid fracturing the pipe, which would then need to be removed and replaced, a possibly expensive operation.I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -

When using these make shure you remove all rubbish and mortar that might have dropped inside by rodding between the manholes. you will need to be careful cutting the opening with a small angle grinder. You scullion! You rampallian! You fustilarian! I’ll tickle your catastrophe (Henry IV part 2)0 -
technically you should use a soakaway and last resort is using the existing storm drain (which if connecting to you "should" seek permission from water board) also make sure it is a storm and not a foul drain
saddles ideally go in the top of the existing pipe if it has to go in at the side your better triming off the lower section of the saddle piece so no part of it is in the lower section of the existing pipe- so it will not block any foreign objects that may get in further up the line0 -
am just connecting to the existing pipe, that is already there, which takes the water away from the drive from a gully drain in a different place, but is not very useful.0

The pipe work is your responsibility I take it? If it serves more properties then just yours it will be a public sewer.
What size is the existing pipe you want to connect to? From what I've seen, saddles are usually used in larger diameter pipes then are found on most domestic properties.0 -

As stated by others, extreme caution required in cutting to opening in to the existing pipe. Clay can be pretty brittle especially if it is old.
You also need to be absolutely certain that the existing pipe is yours and not owned by the local water board. If it connects to other houses as well as yours you will need to get permission to make the connection.0 -
i'm 100% sure its just mine. It just runs from a drain in the drive directly along the side of my property and into the main man-hole under my dining room extension which also takes the waste? Will add the extension is about 25years old. Does this make a difference as i'm just looking as said to add another drain into it?0

the pipe will be the water boards as all pipes were adapoted
unless your origional drains are combined they have been naughty and piped into a foul-which your not allowed to do and would need the water board and council permission to put rainwater into
but still any new works should go to a soakaway or other suds and last resort is a storm drain (youll never/struggle to get permission to go into a foul)0 -
i have seen some proper cowboy work by either an extension builder or kitchen fitter where a glazed pipe was saddled into except they just smashed the top 2/3rds of the pipe stuck a 110mm plastic pipe in and covered the whole mess with kitchen tiles they didnt even use any mortar to try and seal it0

You would probably find it easier to cut in a "Y" on the line instead of saddle a clay pipe. Some people don't exaggerate........... They just remember big!0
