BE Broadband - Half price offer

We have been hit with the cancellation of the Orange free broadband so have been searching for alternatives. In true money saving style we have also paid our BT line rental up front so are technically tied to BT until April 2013, so have only been looking for Broadband only deals.

Anyway, BE broadband have an offer until 15th October for half price broadband for 12 months, therefore £8.50/month unlimited usage . There is also a possible £25.25 cashback through Topcashback. There is also a possible referral bonus of £40, for referrer and referee.

I shall be signing up when Orange send the Mac code through, so if anyone wants to be our referrer please PM with details

The referral link comes via email to the person about to sign up so I'm presuming the Topcashback won't track. Its probably only one or the other available when you have a referral. Think I was being too optimistic to get both!

Well..... I have just been informed by a Be Broadband sales operator that the half-price broadband offer is NOT available through a referral.

So to recap, I've got it completely wrong. Be broadband may well have an offer of half-price broadband until 15 October but you will not be able to have a referral with this offer and I'm not sure about the Topcashback either. I had a very 'difficult' conversation with the Be Broadband rep and would not be able to recommend them after this call.

I have moved away from Orange to be broadband and have taken advantage of this half price offer (Without any referrals or Quidco). They have been excellent with great CS and great broadband speed.
