Do cats forgive?!

do you think she will forgive and forget?!
She will play the poor injured puss having to be consoled with tuna / chicken / salmon / treat of choice for as long as she thinks she can get away with demanding guilt presents.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
Thanks everyone, she was back to normal last night wanting her tea and cuddles! gave her a bit of extra meat too which probably helped

I think there's a difference between forgiving and forgetting.
One of my (long departed) cats was once stood under the door keys in the lock of the back door, waiting to go out and when I touched they keys, the key ring broke and the keys (probably about 3 of them) fell on his head.
He shot off up the garden when I finally got the door open and for ever afterwards, he wouldn't stand under the door keys, both back door and front door. In fact, he hated door keys even in my hand.
He was fine with me though as soon as he came back in.
So, he didn't forget but he did forgive.
Glad she's Ok.0
