Can anyone give me a true indication of the MPG for a new Ford Fiesta 1.25 Zetec please?

Ford quote 50 combined but I have heard from someone who claims it to be nearer 30 which sound horrendous!!

Depends how you drive. Myself and another wagon driver used to do the same run at the same time with the same type of wagon and load to London and back. I would use 200 litres of diesel, he would use 240 litres. I took just two minutes more to do the same 500 mile round trip.

Forgot all about that website. The data for my current car is still about 10% higher than I actually achieve so not too good!

Learn to drive if you're that much lower.

Sit in heavy traffic and the MPG will be a lot less than what they state anyway.

Ive got a Mondeo diesel, I average low 30's. During the snowy weather last year and the year before i averaged 28mpg and 26mpg.
These are true figures over a full tank of fuel.
    .

I have never ever in 6 years of driving a Mondeo TDCi seen anything below 40MPG even including built up city driving.

    Real world answer

Wife's 1.25 Fiesta 59 plate 13555 miles on the clock it's used for

school run = 2 miles each way
weekly shopping = 5 miles each way
inbetween shopping = 4 miles each way
run around taking daughter here there and everywhere = 40 miles a week

total average for a week 120 miles which = avearge 31 mpg

on a run on the motorway etc. 120 miles return journey probably got 45 mpg

You commented on this before. Whats your average speed for a tank of fuel 12 mph? Over the winter it as 9mph..

Have my car for a week its probably better on fuel than yours, Modified slightly. If you dont use the power its brill on fuel..

High 30's when towing was a shock.
