Don't touch these boots and clothes, they are substandard Chinese rubbish that fall apart in minutes, it's not the high quality Karrimoor products of old.
why Karrimoor want to destroy their brand name is another matter.

Karrimor went bust in 2004. The brand was bought out by Lonsdale who are owned by Sports Direct. Guess where Karrimor products are now sold ?0

I bought some Karrimore walking/climbing shoes a couple of years ago from SD/JJB - many hundreds of miles later they are still going strong. I'm not a fan of other SD brands, in particular Donney which don't last a week without become very uncomfortable (as the plastic backs fold in.)0

Some Karrimore products are okay and do work, some are not. Exercise your rights, and take products back, if they do indeed fall apart in mins after buying...
We've stuck with trainers because they go up to massive sizes to fit several huge feeted relatives, never had issues with those.
As walkers in the family have said, wouldn't buy walking shoes, as the preference to buy stronger, fixable, better, comfortable (but alas dearer!) branded boots/shoes is there.
Rucksacks/or rather backpacks, had quite a few, and indeed just replaced my last one with another karrimore too. Sure it lasted less than a year, but rather than just having a fit demanding it lasted under 1 year gimmie monies/compensation, I looked back and realised the last time I used it (where the strap pretty much almost came off) it was far too overloaded, heavy and because of that, I was having to swing it around to get it on my shoulder (one, not two shoulders) For the price I paid for them, comparable to their head, adidas, etc rubbish, they're pretty good if you don't abuse them. Like most products in their range.0 -
Karrimor are crap because they went bust and now 'pile em high sell em cheap' mike Ashley has the brand... Hence awful quality.

I bought a pair of Karrimoor boots. Very reasonable price and very comfortable.
Got me up Scafell pike and Helvellyn with no problems at all0 -
My Karrimoor boots have lasted for three years with daily use, I have only
just replaced with the same.0 -
I've had several items of Karrimor stuff from Field & Trek (part of the same company) over the last few and I've no complaints with any of them. In fact their lined walking trousers are excellent - I use them on night shift in the winter and they really do the job well.0

My son just did Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowden in 24 hours in a pair of Karrimor walking boots, not a single blister ! He only bought them 4 days before ! £25, absolute bargain !0

So what we can deduce from this thread is that Karrimor products can vary in quality?"If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0

I'd agree with that (especially as I have Karrimoor walking boots and trekking sandals that have been fine) - and maybe add that the OP is possibly inclined to exaggeration.....rufuschucklebutty wrote: »Don't touch these boots and clothes, they are substandard Chinese rubbish that fall apart in minutes0
