I asked the same question last week and after a lot of help from forum members I plumped for this one.

thanks for your reply, i did look at that one but saw it was android 2.2 and not 4.0 and wasn't sure if that made a difference.

To be honest, that one is a bit weedy even for me, its old stock - hence very cheap. Personally, in these devices stretching the extra tenner goes a long way in that it will get you a faster CPU+ graphics processor, twice the storage memory, 4 times the RAM, newer Android version, twice the battery capacity etc. Unless this is absolutely your max. price point fair enough we are not all made of money for sure, I would go the extra tenner.0 -
I bought an Eken T01A from Futeko a couple of months back & have found it excellent.
The model they're selling now is even cheaper (£58.99):

I bought that and it does the job I need it to, mainly streaming to TV via hdmi. Plays the standard games, etc etc etc.0 -

Proud owner of a Huawei mobile phone!
Totally agree with this comment, all about what you want to do with the device. My mate just bought the wonderfully named ainol elf tablet for his kids for £76, he said it was superb for what he wanted it for, not everyone need retinal screens:rotfl:0 -

I also agree, although I'd point out that (as is also the case with a "Windows" computer) it's precisely "Playing games" that requires the most power! As I seem to keep ON posting, tablets that were made for (assumed to be rich!) Westerners by companies like ASUS (brands we've heard of!) tend to be priced along the lines of their Apple rivals. Tablets intended for Chinese domestic consumption tend to be priced accordingly (they're substantially cheaper) But they're likely to be brands you've never heard of - like Ainol, or Newsmy, or Haipad, or... The quality of Chinese tablets has been steadily climbing, and the best of them are excellent... but cost very little. The Ainol "Elf" is one such, but now actually fairly obsolete, and no longer made..Ainol's equivalkent model is now the "Tornedos".Having said that... unscrupulous Chinese manufacturers seem not to be too worried about producing straight copies of their rivals' better products. One called "The OTA Mobile Device Co" is selling "Elf clones" on AliExpress.com (China's Ebay equivalent) for just $60 each, including delivery. Which is about HALF what sardegnadream's mate paid for his. MY mate bought one of OTS's "Elf knock-offs" and is very happy with it... and he's a bigger Android geek than I am!0
