I never get to find out what any of these people might have dug up about me

I ask the what they're wearing and never let them move beyond that subject. They hang up very quickly, and the blokes quicker than the girlies, but neither last more than 15 seconds.
I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.

Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.

Solution: Assign my accountant the job but put management consultants, graphics designers, and public relations executives on standby, and then put the feelers out for people who can help with the social media side of things.

I'm just staggered that you let him get past the 'Hello' stage of his attempted scam.

I am staggered why CKhalvashi goes on MSE to talk about this phonecall.

    Pffff

I still reckon it's a job for the Armenians: they'd have lots of fun.

    Quite possibly, lol

Is it not best to get 2nd opinion, then others can learn on it?

No, because those that fall for it will never learn.

I note with interest, CKalvashi, that you did not respond to this post.

Of course, like everyone else you have no obligation to respond to posts people made in response to your post(s), but it would be nice to get a reaction from you to the questions your posts have stimulated.

That's exactly what I thought, but I didn't press the issue because the original poster seems to be an established member of the forum (not normal for those 'any exposure is good exposure' type of posts)

If it's big business, it's worth investing long term.

2530 posts?? that's some long-term thinking. Also there is the issue that the OP infers that Winnington International use dubious sales tactics, have no respect for private information, and use aggressive sales techniques. I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole. And that OP's post is already easily displayed whenever anyone tries well known search engines.

What worries me is how telephone sales techniques seem to work on gullible naive people with little experience of the world. What is needed is more education, and shared information as offered by this forum, to try and stamp out people praying on the weak and ill prepared. For sure in this case you can see that the salesman was neither weak or ill prepared
I believe past performance is a good guide to future performance
