wireless thermostat?

thanks yes that is what I have been doing. I'm just trying to get the system working as efficiently as possibleIf its not fixed to anything and you can move it around then spend a few days placing it in various places. Shouldn't take long to find a place that works best for you. Used that method when new boiler and wireless controller was installed last winter.

Funnily enough I have my TRV manual to hand having just replaced one as it got knocked and snapped.
The max setting on it as stated by the manufacturer gives no temperature control ie its fully on.0 -
so if the trv is fully opened then the room thrmostat will control the rad temp and it is afterall the conflicting advice above, ok to do this as below then?Funnily enough I have my TRV manual to hand having just replaced one as it got knocked and snapped.
The max setting on it as stated by the manufacturer gives no temperature control ie its fully on.Wherever you put it if there is a TRV make sure it is turned up to max as then they won't conflict.
getting pretty confusing :huh:0 -
You have two conflicting bits of advice, I'm certainly not an RGI but I also know that southcoastrgi despite his name suggesting he is an RGI isn't 100% right either.
What I know you can do with ease is remove a TRV easily, probably without tools. Below the temperature twist there is a plastic body and then a metal metal ring. If you unscrew this the top temperature changing body comes off and you are left with an unregulated radiator.0 -
