wireless thermostat?

i've recently moved into a flat that has radiators with adjustable heating controls (trv?) in all rooms apart from the kitchen and bathroom. bathroom has a rad without a control on it.
i have a wireless thermostat linked to the boiler that controls the heating temp. what is the best place for this wireless thermostat? if i put it in a room with a rad in then surely the thermostat will have a fight with the rad thermostat? if i put it in the kitchen (i don't use the oven) there is no rad in there so that will not work

No real difference from a wired one. Our's is in the lounge, with a rad. Just crank the trv up full. This is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !0

It can be anywhere but I'd stick it where you spend the most time or a place that's as similar to the rest of the house as possible.
No point putting it in the warmest room in the house if the thermostat is then cutting the heat to the rest. Wherever you put it if there is a TRV make sure it is turned up to max as then they won't conflict.0 -
I'd put it in the hallway, as it's the room that will tend to have an ambient temperature of the flat.Protection Materials for the DIY'er0

with the trv fully open you mean? trouble with that is the kitchen has no door on it and leads into the hallway so any cold air in the kitchen will affect things0

well as it's my birthday & i'm in a really bad mood i give the polite response, you are all wrong, a room stat shouldn't be put where there is a rad with a trv wether it is turned up on max or not, most room stats go upto 30 degrees no trv will go that high & the room stat acts as a boiler interlock which it can't do if it is set on max in a room with a trv, it is normal to put it in the hallway & in that case the trv should be removed & the rad should have two lock sheilds on it, anyone wanna disagree ?? no thought notI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -

i'm renting and that is not possible
what is the next best solution?
if you are renting then the landlord should have been informed of this by the RGI at the annual service (that's of course if he knows what he is doing which unfortunately alot don't seem to), if you have a rad in the hallway fit the room stat there 1.5m off of the floor & not on an outside wall & take the head off of the trv this will then act as a locksheild, you need a rad to control the statI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

If its not fixed to anything and you can move it around then spend a few days placing it in various places. Shouldn't take long to find a place that works best for you. Used that method when new boiler and wireless controller was installed last winter.0
