Well OH is still being pig headed about my family member. Told him to keep his opinions to himself. Had a great night at my friends Halloween party. Trying to cut down food bill. OH has had a word with SS as he decided it would be ok to have 4 huge bowls of cereal and use 1.5 litres of milk!!!! I'm hoping that he now knows whats happening he'll move out but I think we're stuck with him!

  • Hiya :) Sorry I haven't been about!

No you can't choose your family. Thankfully things between me and big sister are slowly on the mend. And unfortunately nowt regarding SIL. And I can't see that changing :(

Hope things settle soon with your families.

How is everyone? How am I? Er, I was ok-ish till this morning when SIL decided to profoundly upset me because I hadn't done her song and dance right across a certain social media page. OH is fuming and me? I'm angry, upset and generally fuming!

Hows the other situation? :o. Still trying to hide it. Not heard about my renewal yet (its this week!!!!). So you can imagine I'm getting nervous. Each penny is a prisoner at the moment but when I am determined not to waste a penny........or try at least!

  • Hello :)

Doing ok. But just ok. SIL still ignoring me. And I seem to have rocked the boat with OH. Just hope we can work through this and come out smiling on the other side :o

HAW I'm sure your OH will come round. Surely he can't agree with the way his sister is behaving?

  • Actually, the 'issue' with OH and the 'issue' with SIL are separate! Thankfully got stuff sorted with OH after a long talk last night. SIL still on the quiet. Speaking of which, must text bro see how he's doing.... ;):)

How is everyone? Well my job has been extended until Christmas for the moment. It was a fraught few days wondering whether I was going to get kept on. Trying to put away as much as possible and keep bills down where I can.

Saw SIL yesterday and got to see the new baby from that side of the family. She's gorgeous and so tiny. I shed a few tears as she snuggled down in my arms, took her bottle, got winded then fell fast asleep in my arms (rare apparently). I think she's sorry over the upset she's caused (including that of only a few days ago), but I think we'll see. I think we'll slowly pull back and start doing our own thing.

Trying to watch what we spend on food etc. SS buys a lot of his own food but seems to just thrown things into the fridge and say if he has a 4 pack of pies and eats 3, then he'll leave the empty packaging in the fridge. So I've taken to putting all his stuff in one corner and told him if he doesn't like it tough. He's also finally moved all his stuff out of the spare room which we'll need to start thinking about sorting out soon. Decided that depending on if we have to stop on way to see my Gran we'll get petrol at Mr M (cheap and we get points) but if we don't have to stop en-route then we'll go to Mr T's for fuel as its cheap and I get points but we've realised that we can double up our points there and get clothing and baby stuff. So it means instead of a baby gate costing us £25 it'll cost us £12.50 in points.

I am knit witch, I've also applied for a permanent job for the company I'm currently working for. My wide and varied career will hopefully stand me in good stead with my application.

Just had tea, cheese on toast (OH had a sandwich) and had some sugar snap peas with it (raw) which I'm finding I prefer to crisps. Its sweet things I'm going for and fruit.
