I have a flexible job - some weeks I can do 20+, others I can do nothing.. Usually I do 8.5 hours a week (1 day).. or 8.5+5 (1 day plus half day saturday).. on a fortnightly basis.. However I quite often add an extra full day when they need extra staff..
I'm in my third year.. On average it must be about 12 hours a week i think..0 -
I'm in 1st year and running on burn-out at the mo. Doing 24 hours- 3 days, 8 hours, it's working with customer complaints and we need to keep up the numbers ... yada yada.., stress !
Anyhow- do as little as you can-Money isn't worth it - i've got merits and almost merits from 1st semester and annoyed that if i had a bit more time, i know i'd get really good marks.
I'd rather be skint and have a 1st class degree than have loads of cash and a crappy one.0 -
i do 15 hours a week, split over saturdays and sundays. because sundays attract a premium, i normally take home around £400 a monthknow thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0

For 3 months in my 2nd year i was on placement 5 days a week, travelling 3 hours a day to get to placement, and working between 20 and 28 hours a week during evenings and weekends.
It's possible, but I would never-ever recommend it. If you do get a job, try going for something well paid. support workers can earn upp to about £8 an hour, or a job where you a guaranteed lots of tips.0 -

I think time management is key. I find that when I have lots of other commitments I am more organised with my work and will make time to do it. If I don't have anything to do, I tend to waste my time rather than spend it constructively. I think a lot of people are like that though!0
