Abbey National Paymentcare on Mortgage

Hi
Just looking for some advice please. I have PPI that I took out on an old mortage with Natwest , although my mortgage is no longer with them, I am still paying them £40 a month.
My husband recently lost his job and they refused to pay out, I therefore requested a copy of the policy and the forms I signed when I took out the policy (I cant find my copies) but they have said that they dont have the info as the policy is older than 7 years and they only keep records for that long. I am undecided whether I was mis-sold the policy because I actually dont remember taking it out and I just wanted to check what they told me at the time..... does anybody have any advice as to where to go from here?
Thanks
please start your own thread rather than hijacking someone elses. Copy and paste what you have here on to a new thread and we will respond to that. It isnt fair on the OP to have their thread taking off subject and it can also create confusion when you have discussions on different subjects taking place on the same thread.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -

You have not upset or offended me. It is just standard discussion board etiquette to not post unrelated questions on someone elses thread. The term is called thread hijacking. It isnt fair on the original poster to have someone come along and ask unrelated questions and "hijack" the thread. Hence why I asked you to copy and paste your post on a new thread which will get the same respect.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
