ive been searching around for a new TV,family members have new 32" samsung and sony tv similer price and nice quility picture,but for £50 more i could get a 40" from Samsung,

getting a bit lost in the tech,,
so what would i like for my budget of £550. clear picture,Hd freeview , usb conector to watch avi files eth,
also looking at getting a humax box,but will go for the cheaper box http://www.richersounds.com/products/home-cinema/home-cinema-separates/freeview-freesat-pvr#2
as i dont see us recording that much hd stuff and cant afford the next models up.
also are the company ext warranties worth taking out?
any alternatives or other suggestions welcomed

Your links are broken,you need to remove the first set of 'http://' from them....
I have this TV here;
http://www.richersounds.com/product/tv---all/samsung/ps43e450/sams-ps43e450a1
And cannot fault it.Brilliant picture,sound & I can connect my PC (Have an old desktop connected to it with wireless keyboard & mouse) & my external hard drive to it.
Really simple to use compared to others out there.Freeview may not be HD but as I have SkyHD coundn't see the point of it
I cannot fault it in the slightest!0 -
I'd definitely want an HD recorder, what's the point in the TV being HD? There's only going to be more HD content coming along.
There's a Panasonic one for £185, which leaves us with £365.
This is £370 if you can put an extra £5. Panasonic, 42 inch, FreeviewHD.
