    Morning all,
A lovely weekend with an old school friend. We were SO lucky with the weather, sunny both days. Was going to the gym today, but so achey after all that walking with her I'm going to give it some time to calm down. In a bit of a pain-killer haze at the moment.
This week is busy but with lovely things and then on Friday I'm going on ANOTHER holiday with my OH. A week in the Pyrenees, only down side is the ferry crossing which is overnight on the Bay of Biscay and I'm not a good sailor.
So need to get all the washing and ironing done as well as some work and house stuff.
Bargainbird....I once used a mixture of duck and goose eggs in a fruit cake, it was fabulous, so rich.
    Have a good day all.

    Hi all

I'm just having a time-out after cleaning the oven. My life is so exciting! (NOT).

I want to get ahead with my tasks this week, as tomorrow I have two dogs coming to stay for three days, and I suspect they'll take up all my time and energy.:D

Flutterby I hope your family member is OK

BB lots more GWS vibes for Maud; poor little darling, she's having a rough time, isn't she?
It's also H's last week at home :( hit me last night and am feeling a bit fragile about it :o
Hang in there, mate - it's the start of a new adventure, remember.:o You know where my pm box is if you want to let off steam, cry, panic or anything else.;)

I made quiche yesterday afternoon, which will be sufficient for today's and tomorrow's dins, so no cooking for me til Wednesday.:T:T:T
I actually dislike cooking, but I'd sooner put up with doing it than feed us rubbish.;)

Morning all - revoltingly wet out there. Popped into Mr T on the way back from the doc's and picked up some reasonable bargains:

8 Butchers Choice sausages £1.45 (was £1.89) - toad in the hole tonight with onion gravy
    4 pickle-topped pork pies 25p (was £1) - lunch
2 Bramley apple cream turnovers 65p (was £1) - dessert tonight
9 Penguin biscuits £1 (was £1.15) - treats for the week

DH has ignored me for 4 days while he sorted out a 'political' problem involved with his voluntary work. I put my foot down last night and demanded he take me out for a meal - we ended up at McDonalds. Who says romance is dead ...

Got to phone the council. Somehow the hinges on our recycling bin have been ripped off, and it wasn't emptied last week so we're overflowing with catfood tins. Apart from that, nothing planned for the day apart from sorting work clothes.

Have a good one, everyone :)

    afternoon!

been a busy morning so far. Been to the hospital for a scan, have ovarian cysts so a re-scan in 8 weeks. Better be safe than sorry . After my best friend died from ovarian cancer I want it all checked out thoroughly.

Made some fish pies for the freezer yesterday. Am off to work later, taking some defrosted HM bean chilli to work for my tea.

House is tidy and clean-ish. Washing almost upto date and no ironing:j

Its very wet and miserable here today so washing is hung on the airer.

(((hugs))) to those in need of them.

    Take care all x

    Hi all,

Out and about with oh today so just posting from my iPad.
Bitsy it would be strange if you weren't a bit stressed out with everything happening so fast. Take care Hun
So had a nice wkend and chose the dress I am hoping to have for my sons wedding. It is the Phase Eight Ishiko dress in teal. Sorry cant work out how to put a link with my iPad.
Lovely in the north west today but all my washing is up to date.
Have asked OH to sort out a long straight washing line for me as I am fed up with the rotary, nothing dryes in the centre unless it's red hot.
Lasagne for tea as yesterday turned into curry watching the football.
Sorry to hear Maud is still suffering.
So have finished the Rivers of London and begun Moon over Soho which is just as good.
The books are about 4 pounds each but not bad when you consider that me oh and Ds3 all read them.
Have an urge to bake but dh has asked me not too as he can't resist and is watching his diet. Also as you know I am dieting and ds3 doesn't eat cake. Maybe I could donate it
Anyway have a good day all J x

Fingers crossed Tappers that all will be well.
Book club this morning and we had a small 'do' as its been running for a years great morning as one of the ladies made a cake in the shape of a book with a decorated 'worm' coming out of it.We had a smashing time and I have a couple of bits of left over cake for the boys for after school.Someone decided they couldn't be bothered to take home some chocolate biscuits they had brought in,Cadburys as well so instead of throwing them in the bin as she said they were thrown into my shopping bag and my DGS will help finish them off after school this afternoon.I never like to throw anything away in the bin when there is nothing wrong with it.
Great morning though and a nice chat about our book that we had to read.
Weather is appalling at the moment, absolutely tipping down and I'm feeling very creaky in my joints. The anti bios are kicking in at least so my right arm is losing its hot redness and the swelling is reducing slightly.
I'm off now to have a large cup of tea and feet up for half an hour before tackling the rain to pick up the boys from school
have a good Monday everyone and <<hugs >> if your feeling down or poorly
    Cheers JackieO xxx
