1st flight with Ryanair

Hi there, looking some info from anyone who has travelled Ryanair before. the thing is i have booked flights to fuerteventura from Dublin next June. now when adding baggage no charge came up on screen. i completed the transaction and and have received all my flight details via email, so my flight is booked.
what I am wondering is, do i still have to pay my baggage when i get to the airport in june? or have i got my baggage for free. i did contact ryanair's call centre (yes the one where they hardly speak a word of english and hang up on you if they dont like a question) and was told that the other day when i booked that they could not charge for baggage and that is why there is no charge, and basically i dont have to pay it now. but still i dont trust that that is correct, does anyone know for sure?
Many thanks

Should show on the (email) itinerary whether you have have checked bags (15 or 20kg). You can also go into 'Manage my Booking' to check what you have.0

yeah i have 4 checked 20kg bags but i didn't pay anything for them, do i still have to pay at the airport? is that the way it works or have i geinuinly got free baggage?Norn Iron Club No:468

Last time I flew with them, it showed (something like) 1x15kg £xx on the itinerary and the 1x15kg on the boarding pass. As you can't print the BP until 15 days before you fly, looks like a bit of a wait...
If the hold bags don't show up on the BP prints (presumably late May), you'll be able to add them and reprint. Not a good idea to pay at the airport - double the price.
Suppose you never know - I've yet to book Ryanair without the infamous 'timeout' glitch, maybe you could be a beneficiary of the new 'baggage glitch'.0 -
if it shows as checked baggage on ur online booking then no they wouldnt charge at the airport as it would just show as checked luggage.
i wouldnt normally suggest keeping quiet but by god with ryan air, its rare anyone gets the last laugh:o
have fun in fuerteventura, ive been to Jandia twice and i love it, peacefully quiet and the weather is fantastic:T***MSE...My.Special.Escape***0 -
Thanks for the replies, when i phoned the other day the guy on the phone did say that they where having a problem with the booking system and baggage would be free, but to be honest i have a real distrust of ryanair and the like and thought i would double check with my moneysaving comrades.....Thanks
pinkcandyflossprincess, i love Fuerteventura, the weather is always great and the beaches are clean and not packed. we r off to Corralejo for 3 weeks, cant wait....:jNorn Iron Club No:468

Wow, looks like you have managed to get a good deal if you get free baggage
i really hope they honor it. I have flown with Ryanair a lot, only if I can get a really cheap fare. If I can fly somewhere for £2, then they can treat me any way they want, lol!
We once flew from Prestwick to Belfast for literally 4p return each. We had hand luggage, and I booked it with the card they do not charge with. Amazing

yeah Bigmaz thats my worry too, that when i get to dublin airport there gona say sorry but you need to pay us now. although the guy in the call centre was sure that we would not now be charged, so happy days, i will let you all know what the out come is.
many thanks to all again :beer:Norn Iron Club No:468

the same thing happened to me on friday am i booked our annual family flight to lanzarote for next august - all four of us for £911 including 2 checked 2kg bags which did not show a charge, still cant quite believe it - to book the same today it was showing £1410 - we have flown with ryan air many times - not the best but they do get you to the same place as the other airlines at a fraction of the cost
