Card security, I've said this before, but worth repeating.

    So did the policeman also say that it has to be within 10cm to be able to read the card.... And that if you have more than 1 contactless card that they don't work....
    I guess not.

    Did he also say that evey time you use your card in a retailer. That they keep the FULL card number.... I'll let you ponder on the implications on that fact.

    Are you aware of how many customers HSBC have ? So the odds on being picked for a survey is pretty low....

    I was at a Barclays / PCI(Payment Card Industry) security conference. We were targeted by ethical hackers, all the debits were to 3rd world children's charities.

    I'm quite a bit OCD, true. If I walk into a park to eat my lunch, I have to measure the distance to each park bench, from my starting point, to see which is the nearest, by which time my soup is usually cold.
