Hi Di - Not sure if you or anyone can offer any help / advise - Received SAR paperwork, as i thought it does not detail or help in anyway to confirm PPI total payments, if requested should a company supply documentation to confirm PPI payments made during policy term.?
Hiya
Hope your well.
I would contact them and ask if they've provided everything to you, some arrive in separate batches.
In regards of mine, there were a few statements that did give the total payments of the ppi monthly repayments.
How long ago did you say this account was taken out?The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi Di
As no further information received from Santander, just posted back letter requesting further information, specifically relating to the value of PPI payments made on my accounts following the lack of detail received within SAR request and return - Rather concerned that within the documents I also received a credit agreement for someone else. Rather unprofessional, however not surprising, taking the time and hassle i have experienced trying to reclaim this money, as not even working at the point of sale.
Please find info as requested reference dates of sale:
Dorothy Perkins PPI applied on 1.5.96 - 23.1.2012. Santander have not advised on the value of total payments made on this account to date. - Genworth offered to refund £ 2031.17
Mothercare PPI applied 11.4.2000 - 20.1.2012, Santander confirmed in writing payments made £756.76 - Genworth offered refund£205.75. I have rejected refund offers at this time and written back to both Santander and Genworth requesting them to clarify premiums paid and to provide a basis of the refunds offered - Will keep you posted.
Why do you ask on the dates on sale for policies.?
Does the £205.72 seem correct.
Please let me know, will post an update when received.0 -

Hiya
I am baffled on how they came to that figure, because there does seem quite a difference.
They must hold the figures to have forwarded them to you.
I was asking dates, because mine was 1997, so really not sure what will happen.
I have forwarded my case to both the FLA and Genworth.
See what happens, and I will post back once I hear as well.
Good luck. xThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi Di, how long have you been trying to claim back on your one.
I still have a number of claims with the FOS - Been over 8 months on some and could do with a bit of good news by year end.0 -

Hiya
Since July 2012 via Santander.
They state because of time lapsed they could not find any information on the account, they could not investigate further.
Despite the fact I enclosed relevant information, that I already had.
Meanwhile, the SAR info arrived and there was information in relation to the account, so my thinking is because it wasn't regulated by FSA/GISC when it was taken out back in the 90's, they didn't bother checking, and rejected anyway, knowingly that I could not complain to the FOS, but did state the FLA.
With that, I did write to them again to confirm I have received further info from a SAR, but they did not bother looking into it further, but just said, the previous letter was final.
So, I taken the case up with the FLA back over a month ago, and in the last fortnight also sent a complaint to Genworth.
Just waiting now, not holding much hope, but if we don't try we will never know.;)
Yes that would be lovely for xmas for you.
Have you made any contact with the FOS for updates? The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi Di3004
Good news received today, additional payment offer for total redress Genworth / Mothercare card £411.43 and even better news and ofer ofofer eter new d from Debenhams, £3916.14.
This now concludes redress from Genworth for, Mothercare, Debenhams and Dorothy Perkins. Very impressed with handling from Genworth.
Have you had any news on your one to date?0 -
Hi Mac66,
First may I congratulate you on your successful claim! It was refreshing to read about a successful claim where Santander and Debenhams Cards were concerned!!
May I ask, when submitting a claim to Genworth, did you use the PPI consumer questionnaire to make your claim or did you write your own complaint letter?
I am currently trying to help my parents with PPI claims, we have had one offer so far, and I am now trying to work on their claim with their Debenhams card via Santander.
They have had a refusal letter direct from Santander and I was thinking of going via the FLA next (account opened in 1987 so not covered by FOS). However, having read this thread (and other research online) I feel it may be a better approach to go via Genworth as they were the underwriters in their case also. So I am now trying to figure ou if I should use the same questionaire form I sent to Santander, or fill out a new one of those, or write a whole new letter....
Sorry for the long post, just thought you may be able to point me n the right direction.
Thanks very much!V xxx

I've just the contact form on their website - but it doesn't allow me to attach documents.0 -
Hi lgb2100.
Try: ppisalesqueries@genworth.com
They were initially quick with their response to my PPI complaint but now appear to be ignoring me.0
