Ive been using batiste for years, my hair is thinnest at the top of my head but Ive not noticed that its accelerated any hair loss..would def recommend that you stop using it awhile and see if that helps any, and switch to SLS free shampoos
We got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic. ;)

    Thanks for your responses guys.

I am not allergic to any of the ingredients nor do i have any health problems like a bad diet, thyroid problems. I am a healthy, young 25 year old woman. My hair loss i feel, is due to this product :-(

Maybe i was using it too often but what concerns me is why Batiste have failed to note this on their labelling/instructions? If it is best not to be used often, why not say? The lack of information regarding this product and it's lack of user instructions concerns me the most. If it said, please do not use more often than twice a week or something a long those lines then maybe i wouldnt have had a problem!? Who knows. My hair is thin where i have used the product and since i have stopped using it my hair feels a little less 'stressed'. I will continue to monitor how my hair copes whilst not using Batiste and will keep you all up to date. Heres to hoping that my hair grows back

Dry shampoo can be used regularly, many people do so. The main ingredient is only starch, this is inert so should not have any effect even used daily. Little of the propellant should be touching your head unless you are holding too close when you spray. Then there are the perfumes which are a relatively common source of reactions in many cosmetics.

can think of nothing in dry shampoo that will make your hair fall out. periodically you do go through cycles where you seem to have more hair falling out than usual.

it will have been thoroughly tested before being put n the market, which is done in a scientific way (I know, I used to do it!), I cannot see the point on putting warnings on the bottle when its all ifs, buts or mebbes and your hair loss may have nothing to do with this.

nb. don't believe everything you read on the internet otherwise you will believe the earth is flat and aliens live amongst us

Haha yes i here what you are saying 'dont read everything you read on the internet' but joking aside. My symptons only occured when using this product. I have used the same shampoo and conditioner for a long time and rarely use anything else on my hair other than this dry shampoo product. So yes i may have been spraying it too close or using it too often. But still, my hair has suffered.

Just wanted to air this problem i've had to speak up and see if anyone else has suffered

I always assumed that I had more "lose" hair after using dry shampoo because they hadn't come out when washing, if you know what I mean?

Everyone loses a few while washing even if you dont notice them, if you dont wash you hair and use dry shampoo the next time you wash you will get twice as much lose hair.

Well that's my theory anyway :o

So have you followed the advice from Batiste above, and contacted their customer care line about it?

You've confused me a bit though, by saying
Apparently a few websites (health related websites) say that if used frequently this kind of product can impact on hair loss as the ingredients used to make it can leave fatty acids on your scalp resulting in slow hair loss. This is very worrying to me.

Slow hair loss is exactly that, it's slow. Not more than usual, but slower than usual. And fatty acids can help to slow hair loss. So you are worrying about the fact that you read if used frequently it can slow hair loss, but your problem is that you feel it has encouraged hair loss. So what you read is the opposite to what is happening.

    Thanks honeypop.

I wasnt asking for anyone to over indulge in my comments and make it out that i don't know what i am talking about. I posted this purely to see if anyone else had suffered the same so i can figure out what is going on and conclude whether this is in fact batiste that has made my hair fall out and thinner. I have been in contact with batiste and they are looking into it. My post was to help others learn from my experience not for people to criticise. thanks
