Yeaaahhh :j you started a diary

Sorry i missed your Birthday :bdaycake:have virtual cake from me!

Good luck with the leafleting for your business, have you considered other areas you could do along side the cleaning? dog walking/sitting. Ironing service maybe even light gardening?

It sounds as though self employment is the way forward for you for sure, i'd hate to be looking for work AND having to consider the child care cost, luckily my kids are older now, so this isn't something that really affects me, but i imagine its very difficult.

I once read a tip on the old style board : if the ground is still damp by noon then the washing wont dry outside, we have two clothes airers, but with two teenage girls in the house the washing/drying/ironing cycle is endless!
Sssshhhh dont tell them but sometimes if something they put in the wash isn't actually dirty, i just fold it up and put it back in their clean washing pile :rotfl: both have a tendancy to take off clothes and just bung them in the washing pile after very little wear!

Hope your feeling better soon :coffee: <
    virtual lemsip :D

And of course i've subscribed

    I'm back!
So, this morning i have 3 items ending on Ebay at 11am, so i will send those off at lunch time.
I also have loads of washing to do, but the weather isnt nice enough to hang out the washing on the line, so i will try and get most of it out on airers.
I need to do my meal plan for the week ahead (Fri 12-Thurs 19th).
I want to list more stuff for Ebay (almost at the end of my Ebay pile though!)

I just resisted spending £5 (delivered to store free) on a pair of boots that i dont need, over on the grabbit board! They are lovely, but i already have 3 pairs of boots!

My son needs new shoes- so i will have a good search around for a sale/reductions..not easy when they are into mens size feet (size 7!).

Alterego, i do the same with my kids clotes, put them back if they are still clean, LOL! I must admit, that doesnt happen very often though, with 2 active boys!!

Oh darn it, order from Tesco was cancelled...grrr! Thought it was a bit too good to be true!

I had a very welcome letter from BT today, saying that my account is £60 in credit, so they wont take any DD until December now, and when they start again in December, they will reduce to £17 pm! They have already been reduced from £33 to £21, so i am doing really well! Loved getting that in the post!!

That'll cover the cost of my sons new shoes :)
  • Oh keep an eye on the grabbits board I'm sure there will be another before Xmas. Fab news on BT :D x

Thanks HI :) Yeah, hoping to grab a bargain again before Christmas arrives.

So, today i got my JSA and TCs, and it was spent in the following ways:
    £30-gas
    £40-elec
    £20-misc
    £60-food
£27 was left in the back to cover this weeks DDs (TV licence and Internet)
£15-petrol. This will cover the 2 appointments i have at the jobcentre this week ( each a 20mile round trip), doing a food shop, and a little left over (hopefully)

I was also refunded from Tesco, so that went straight back into the bank.
The rest of this weeks money was put into the bank to go towards next weeks DDs (my weeks go from Fri-Thurs each week).

I went over to my friends house today. We got chatting about income and money. She gets quite a good amount of benefits as she is disabled and was explaining that 1/2 of her money each month goes on paying off her credit cardn and catalogue every month, only to rack it up again each month. Then her friend texted her, asking to borrow £10 until tomorrow.
I am not judging her, or her friend at all, but i must say that i am so glad i dont live like that anymore. I am so grateful that i found MSE and paid off my debt :)

    Good afternoon!

Today has been a good day. I have been unwell for a week, but am feeling much better today (amazing what antibiotics can do!), so i have been doing some cleaning.

I am washing out the washing machine with vinegar and lemon juice..so i dont have to buy any specific cleaner. I have cleaned the wondows and mirrors. i have also cleaned the bathroom.
i still have loads of cleaning products left, it'll take me years to use it all :rotfl:

    My meals for this week:
    Saturday-kedgeree
    Sunday-Roast Pork
    Monday- Sweet and sour Pork
    Tuesday- Fish Pie
    Wednesday-Leftovers
    Thursday-Pesto/cheesy pasta

I have also been thinking about our meals over Christmas. My plan is to spend as little as possible, so i will be on the lookout for bits and bobs inbetween now and then.

Glad to here your feeling a bit better :)

Stocking up for christmas makes perfect sense! we all know its coming, its on the same day each year ~ 25th December :rotfl:
So theres no excuses i guess :D

I always remember my Mums stock pile of Goodies for christmas, she used to "hide" them in the bottom of her wardrobe, crackers, tins of chocolate, nuts & dates, pickled onions, ect, she would buy one small thing a week for months ahead, mind you we are talking quite a few years back now, before the general use of supermarket saving stamps and B.O.G.O.F Deals.

What are your plans for this week? any further ahead with S.E Plans?
