Good morning! Pinch, punch, first of the month to you all
This morning a chopped and bagged the pumpkin from last night, and it will go into the freezer
Today, the NOvember challenge starts, and i cant wait. It's REALLY going to be hard, but i am sure NinjaKat will keep us all on track

Forgot to mention- i am redoing the colour scheme in my lounge. I havent really had a proper colour scheme since we moved in last year, so i am trying to develop a 'natural' colour scheme, with greens, creams and browns.
Knowing this, my friend has donated these canvases to me:
They look lovely on the lounge wall, and my friend didnt want any money for them
I have also been lent a carpet cleaner, so i need to pop to the 99p shop to get some vax carpet shampoo, and i will crack on with that tomorrow i think. I hate having cream carpets, and am saving to get wood effect vinyl put down.0 -
NOvember challenge-Day1-NSD1
Had a lovely filling dinner this evening- sweet and sour chicken, with noodles and prawn crackers.
I would have taken photos but we all ate it before i had chance! ;p
Tomorrows dinner will be kedgeree, which i batch cooked a few weeks ago, and have already taken out to defrost:
Will be listing some more things on ebay tomorrow, as i want to earn enough to buy some green touch lamops from ArgosNOvember means i cant spend ANYTHING unless i absoloutley have to, so it'll have to wait until December.

Morning HI
Still havent managed to get around to buying the shampoo for the carpet, but will wait until the kids are back to school next week i think.0 -
Today is a nice and cheap day in regards to food:
weekly shop came to £33.98, plus £4.50ish to top u pwith milk, and a few other bits
Lunch today is a YS Pizza that i got reduced from £2 down to 95p a few weeks ago
Dinner will be kedgeree from the freezer, which i batch cooked a few weeks ago (see above), and i am defrosting 1kg of YS flora marg that i bough ages ago, for baking biscuits with. Reduced from £3.38 down to 84p
Paid £76.50 for my car insurance deposit today, so thats not quite so good, but a necessary evil i'm afraid, and the quote was cheap enough.
I have listed quite a few bits on ebay too, mainly DVDs and kids books (again).0 -
Hope all is well
Have a nice weekend0 -
Morning
Thanks HI, i hope you have a lovely weekend too, do you have anything planned?
We wont be doing anything really, just getting ready for school next week, doing last minute homework having baths, doing washing and all that jazz.
Have got a nice long list of job applications to sort through and apply for today, so i will be doing that too. Fingers crossed!
Todays menu:
Breakfast-Cereal and/or crumpets
Lunch- Ham salad sandwiches
Dinner- Chicken fajitas
Will also be doing some baking today:
JJs cheese herb bread
Millies cookies
Fairy cakes
Pizza wheels
Almond cakes
The kids are looking forward to helping me with the baking. I am teaching my oldest son (12) how to cook, so he is helping me with every meal and baking activity, which is hard for a control freak like me! However, i left home not knowing how to boil an egg, and it was a steep learning curve, and i dont want my son to be the same!0
