It's just another 'apple sucks' thread so why will us apple users even bother commenting?

The problem isn't 'apple fanboys', its windows numpties who want to initiate an argument every time. Most of them only complain because they really want a mac bit can't afford one lol (kidding, get a sense of humour..)

The fact is everyone is different. The developer above doesn't like windows 8 bit may very well prefer a pc to a mac. I think a macs intuitive interface just makes multi tasking so Mich easier than any pc with any os I have ever used.

Therefore the people saying 'you're wrong, why would anyone want a mac?' Must be jealous or a troll. I can't see any other reason for it.

It takes 2 to tango.... and would really help if you didn't put more petrol on the bonfire.

    Opps.

    Opps.

Look at the posts above, it has already started as it always does.
  • ...buy or compare to a £1200 Windows PC and it'll have comparable build quality...

£700 for an Asus seems a bit steep...

Without wishing to fuel the Mac vs. PC debate remember the 'good old days' when a computer costing over £1000 offered what now seems like laughable performance - 3.2 GB hard drive, 64 MB memory, 200MHz AMD processor and a 13" monitor on my first 'proper' computer. Yet if it hadn't been for the 'tech wars' between Intel and AMD, Microsoft vs Apple et al I guess we'd still have been paying vastly inflated prices for our PCs.

My g/card fails on my pc... then I'm able to shop around a buy what I want. The same with any component.

I can shop for 2nd hand parts, new parts, on ebay, local stores, re-use old parts etc.
    You can for macs...
I get a bigger range of software to choose from, more hardware and IMHO a more reliable OS. I can also build/purchase a machine of parity spec of Apple for half the price.
No you can't. I've tried it and unless you go for low end components such as cheap motherboards and none-IPS screens you can't.
The software I can choose, well it is about choice. Mac users don't have a hundreth of the software to choose from.
You can put Windows and Linux on a Mac. Apple even provide all the tools and drivers to do this. You can't put OS X on a PC as easily.
Mac's are not secure... just have a gander at Mac Lion on google.

Apple isn't about choice, it is about a walled garden that doesn't let you out.

Macs are based on Unix which does security far better than Windows.

You can have as much choice with a Mac as you can with a PC.

Your post does nothing other than prove you've never had one and don't have a clue what you're talking about.
  • Just like to apologize for starting this thread.
It was purely enthusiasm. Remember in the mid ninties putting a pentium together and saving very little in the process. Spent a weeks vacation learning DOS.
I am very happy using a 10' netbook the size is amazing.
So, sorry if I stirred things up a bit.:o
