Wingo - B.Sue has given a good way to talk your husband round to get a soup maker. If you get one dont get one that looks like a liquidiser get one like this



they are soooo easy to clean its unbelievable and doesn't take up much more room than a kettle. They are selling them in most supermarkets now as well.
