I had some soup earlier to warm me up too fire**fly, only the tin one mind!
Hubby said he was discussing with the nurses at work about the soup makers. Typical....I can't talk him into getting one but other people might!

Well done on your win Sheils, glad your DD enjoyed herself :)

Nothing in the post today (sigh), I think comping fairy has forgotten me. :undecided

Well done to hubby Sheils! :T great news!
I had a full house on there but said someone already claimed. Didn't understand that game, glad its finished!

Sue, glad you're getting your new boiler :j BG can be expensive!
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!

Tell him it's a money saver wingo, you can use any bits and pieces you have left over to make soup. I bought a bag of ready chopped veg from Tesco for £1 and it made 3 great big mugs of really tasty soup, I just added a potato and a small chilli, 3 tins of soup would have cost a heck of a lot more. He could take some in a flask to keep warm while he's out or at work. I'm trying to talk DD into getting one. She could make a batch and take some to work (they have a microwave) and have a quick hot meal of an evening. She's always on a diet, so she could have a very low fat meal and know exactly what's gone into it.

Don't suppose many peeps want a new boiler putting in in Feb BSue - expect thats why it will be so quick. Hope you will be pleased with it anyway.
Wonga money will be going on another night away!!!!!!

I fancy a soup maker too but DH says we have too many gadgets cluttering up the kitchen. Might get one yet though.
The Wonga game was confusing wingo thats why I thought DH probably hadn't won even though it said he had! Don't think anyone was keeping an eye on it on Saturday and it let someone else claim after him. At least they are honouring it!

You're probably right sheils, but I can put up with a couple of days without heating. Our old boiler isn't firing properly and might not last another couple of months of cold weather. At least this way we're having it done with advance notice of being without heating rather than it breaking down and being without it for a lot longer. (Not sure who I'm trying to convince here, you or me :) )

Remember we were discussing aliens last week well I think they have taken my DD and left a pleasant, cheerful replacement who has just been and bought DH and me chocolate for taking her away! We have spent weeks trying to persuade her to go anywhere with us.

Some soup makers appear to be difficult to clean as they don't detach to enable a good rinse/soak.
