In the woods near us where I walk the dog there's always different types of birds but I couldn't say what they were! They look lovely though to watch.
Silly me...yep Sylvia, I got my maths wrong!missed the 1 off the front! Not sure how much it is in morrisons or any other service station.
That hot choc looks delish! :drool:Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -
yes, they're the ones sylv, first time i've seen them & had to double check to make sure :j
it's not just my garden bishopsgirl, it's the grounds that surround our complex, the country park is not far away so maybe that brings them here as well, only ever saw a woodpecker once ages ago, they are beautiful but never seen a kingfisher either,
would be fantastic to see oneplease be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0 -

Good morning!
Glad we are back home as we have some snow lying this morning. We kept seeing gritters on our way back yesterday and thought that looked bad.
Your petrol is expensive wingo - that is what it is in our town. We never buy it here as our car has a big tank so we stock up before coming home. As our old car used so much fuel we know where to go all over the country to get cheaper fuel. I also use the cheaper petrol site to find the cheapest fuel in areas we don't know. It all adds up.
Wonga bingo is on FB - think I sent you an invite.
I have seen a Kingfisher FF - some birdwatchers let me look through their binoculars once when we were out a walk. Its not the same as
seeing them up close though. Saw a Jay once from the car window last year and let out a shout giving DH a scare as he thought there was a hazard on the road.
Hope everyone is OK and not snowed in again.
Must get on.

Got up to snow again today and its quite windy as well. Have to take the car for first MOT and a service today, they think there is a wheel bearing gone and I have only done 13k in 3 years.
Hope you are all OK, will catch up again when I get back from the garage.
Wishing you all luck.BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS0 -
Hope your car gets on OK Sylvia. We had to change our 8 year old car last year as it was so expensive to put a new exhaust on it and they couldn't get it for 3 weeks either. Think it was about £1,200 they wanted. we have done 9,600 in less than a year though in the new car and it is saving us money on fuel, road tax and insurance but we do miss the old cars 2.4i engine! The garage did sell the old one on so hopefully someone is still using it.Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

Morning all
Just got back from visiting Dad and filling his tablet box for him, he should rattle the amount that he takes.
Reading about your birds (we only seem to get pigeons and seagulls) reminded of a story from a few years back. I looked out of my window and there was a beautiful pink bird on the fence. I rang my neighbour to have a look and she saw it too. It flew off and we both brought our bird books out and just couldn't find it in either of them. We then decided it must have been blown off course and wasn't a 'native' so we got in the car and went to the library to look in their books. To cut a long story short, we later found out that a neighbour's son had left his aviary open and it had escaped from thereLuck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams

Morning everyonethere was a layer of snow here too this morning. Its clearing up now but it's still cold.
Glad you're home safe now Sheils, I think some roads are worse than others.
Not much planned today, just cleaning and job searching!
Have a lucky Tuesday everyone xx
