Oh dear, my daughter's beautiful tom cat (Im paw sitting while they are away) is looking lovingly out the patio doors at the !!!!!! birds feeding!!!).

It's only for a few days but daren't let him out cos its not his territory and don't want him going awol!!!! Have had a wee word in his ear and told him that soon he will be back home doing what he does best ....... bringing in birds, grass snakes, mice and wee poor little voles as pressies to daughter and son in law

They save as many as they can but re the voles, my son in law saves them, puts them back over the fence for safety but im sure the same poor critter is caught and brought back again and again !!! He must think life is an absolute bummer!!!! :o

Their cat brought in a blackbird before xmas and put it under the xmas tree with the pressies - a puddy cat gift!!!!!!! They didn't discover it till a day later but they think it had already met its demise before their cat found it!!!

So pleased my cat is a house cat (she never wants to venture outside) and is quite content with her computer keyboard brush. :A :rotfl:

Morning all :) Your post did make me laugh Alfie, put me down for a copy of the book when it's finished!

My two are currently having a mad half hour playing with DDs slipper. All of the toys that they have but the slipper is their favourite. I love seeing them get on so well. Still working on the house training with Finlay, the little so and so knows exactly why he has been put outside and performs to the order of 'Quick, quick, quick' but if he doesn't happen to be outside he'll perform anyway. Last night he was eating his supper then sat back and looked up at DD and I so sweetly, we were saying 'Look at that face, he's such a pretty boy', then he got up and walked away leaving a nice puddle behind! :o

We're turning the house upside down at the moment. We tried Finlay's collar on him a week or so back, but took it off after. Now we can't find it, so annoying, it had his little name tag on it as well. Hate it when that happens.

Anyway, off to do the dailies, have a good start to the New Year everyone xx

Lol! Love hearing about Finlay. Bless him. :A Hope you find his wee collar - it will turn up somewhere. :)

My daughter's big lump of hug lab had, along with other pressies, received a large squeaky wellie boot. Well, seemed his mission was to seek and destroy the squeaky bit - took him under 15 mins!!!! Done and dusted!!!! Lol!!!

Onto to felines, my cat, it appears, is a 'cat nip choc drop junkie'!!!!!

She had to go cold turkey over xmas! Such a shame, she was really into them, craving for them but ........ it was 'cat'astrophic!!!! After she had devoured just a couple of them, she was scaling the curtains, climbing the walls and ended up slithering into and sleeping it off in the middle of my beautiful, rather handsome Peace Lily plant!!!!! God know what she was seeing! Some sort of wonderful purple cat haze!!! The plant is now not so proud looking, just rather bent and squished!!! May have to repot it! :D

She received cat nip infused toys for xmas which luckily don't have the same sort of instant kick, but she cuddles them like there's no tomorrow!!!

Reckon the cat nip choc drops will be banned! Just stick to the toys in future!!! :D xxxxx

The Inn is so hectic at the moment, loving it, some fab pics going on. Finding it difficult to keep up with everyone but just to let you know I appreciate you all on here even if I do forget to mention everyone by name. I always try to look right back and thank everyone for their efforts.

FireFly I remember the Black Bun post from a while ago too. Suppose you are going to tempt us all now you have finished your detox :rotfl::rotfl:

Am really going to make an effort to get some weight back off from today.

B.Sue, its lovely seeing the pup playing with the adult. You are so lucky they took to one another so quickly. It took a goo month for Suckie to entertain the idea of having Lottie but now they are fab together.

Dreams, have been on tablets for about 8 years now for underactive throid. There is a book you can buy from the chemist thats really good. I can always tell when I have forgot to take the tablets as I have no energy. Also very techy when I am hungry. DD is exactly the same. Been on the same dose all along, its always a struggle with weight if I am not continually watching everything I eat.

Aflie/Wingo you make me laugh so much, you are a proper double act.

iluvcats, its lovely seeing your pics again, really missed them when you didnt pop by.

Hope everyone has a lovely day.

WHO ON THE INN IS GOING TO HAVE THE FIRST WIN FOR THE NEW YEAR???

Glad you got kindle replaced pms :) DD got a BB Playbook which was a good thing as she's started interacting with her cousins who has one :) not so good though that she thinks she has to drop everything to rush to answer their call!

We have water voles at the back of us too Alfie. The neighbours cats used to sit on our fence hoping to catch them, since we got jasper they won't come near! Jaspers just daft on aeroplanes and birds in the sky. H thinks if he runs he can catch them! :D
Oh....I used to call my DD skinny banana long legs too Alfie....a bit similar to your saying! (couldn't call her it now she would be paranoid!)
Good luck with the book but keep out the loft! I can imagine you like mrs browns boys...hanging from the Xmas tree....throwing baubles at the cat to wake him up! :D

Good luck finding the collar Sue! Maybe Finlays burried it in the garden! :D
When're I'm looking for Jaspers lead its always in hubby's coat pocket even though he insists it isn't!

I forgot it was a bank hol in Scotland Sheils. Enjoy it! Bet you're looking forward to DS coming home :)

I was planning on taking down Xmas tree today but kids are moaning at me! Looks like I'll have to do it when they're in bed. :o
Postie has just brought a letter for DH...what a cheek! Nothing for me! :p

I don't use Loquax fire**fly but I can imagine everyone will use this site if it closes. I wouldn't know what to do if this site closes!

just reread the posting link & it says

It should be noted that we are not closing Loquax

The forums will remain open to users as long as they wish to use them – and the rest of the site (other than the listing service) will continue as normal. Our Facebook and Twitter presence will also continue and we don’t intend to depart from the comping scene altogether. In time we hope to find a new role within the comping community.

reading it it says to me it's just the listing service closing wingo,
i like all the comping sites & often visit them all, handy for checking answers/keeping up with old comping buddies etc, though mse & hotdeals are my faves :)

We agreed to keep our presents to each other until he came down but he transferred DD money for her to take to the sales today and sent me an Amazon voucher. I picked myself a new purple Nikon camera and DH is paying the rest as he couldn't think of much to get me for Xmas. Have given up trying to win one now! DS2 is working as Head Chef in a hotel near the Glenmorangie Whisky Distillery so guess what DH is getting? :D
Hope postman brings something nice tomorrow - it is a really busy day for them here with nearly twice the usual mail.
