I thought running Kiddicare was a start to becoming an online retailer. Still up-in-the-air to online groceries.0 -

Catching up on all the posts. Alfie Blue you are a real tonic, whenever you bring out your book on your life escapades I will be the first to buy one. If you are going up to your loft be very very careful - no more breakages. That was a lovely present from your family. I think Scottish and Irish sayings are somewhat similar. We say the same for someone tall and skinny. When I go back to work after being on holiday I always say Back to Porridge. I understood half of your saying - missed the first bit and think the second was cold porridge.
iluvcats you should enter the photos of the cat with the ipad if there are any competitions to win an ipad that requires a photo. They are very good.
Agree TV is useless tonight. Mrs Brown Boys (New series) was on BBC NI at 9.30pm so watched that again. Still find it very funny.
Only discovered the other day on Sky there now is an On Demand button where you can watch good programmes which Sky have recorded (limited time - for a week or so) I was able to watch Mount Pleasant Christmas Special again. That's all I seem to do watch repeats.
LM need to make New Year resolutions but haven't got round to it. I am off work on holiday this week so had planned to have a quiet day today and make plans/resolutions for 2013, like to write them down or do a vision board, so far few ideas going around my head but need to get them written down.
Watching Tommy Copper at the moment, some good jokes. (Old but good).
Sylvia I seen the other day you mentioned you have a thyroid problem, I have just been diagonised as having an underactive thyroid. Started taking tablets a few days ago. Is yours overactive or underactive?
Hi Katie, Sheils, Becks and everyone else who is in the Inn.
fire**fly I remember the Black Bun although we called it Chesterbread. I'm afraid I don't think I would be too keen to have a fly cementary - the name puts me off although I enjoy fruit and pastry. Alfie Blue is that your own name for it or is it the real name?
wingobins enjoy your party.

:rotfl: (that's before I had a drink!)
Alfie, that's a great idea...you go for it girl
I loved writing funny verses in the past but since computers.....(I've become a bit of a lazy git!
) well since discovering mse anyway!
Fire**fly...(or can I call you fire**work :rotfl) I do remember your black bun, I know I was intrigued what it was
Becky, my son is like that when he is on Xbox! I was having a debate with hubby one day and didn't know his friend was listening in on Xbox!
Sheils, if I come your way and the sign has pi$$ in front.....I know who's to blame!
we had a fish shop near us called the happy sole....someone put a$$ before the sole!
I've been merry and (and eating!) at bro's house, not sure what I was drinking but it was nice! Had to come home as hubby was at work tomorrow! I feel shattered now, got last weeks mags to post but will post tomorrow.
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -

Morning all,
Is everyone back to normal now? We still have another day to go here.
DS2 is coming on Sunday though and DS3 gets his holidays so it won't be quiet then. DD off to the sales again with another of her pals - just hope most of the shops are open for them.
Wishing everyone a lucky day.

Morning!!!!!!! Hope everyone is well, loving all the posts and pics, I must learn to post some, I have some really funny ones here!!!

Wingo - you just crease me up so much!!!! :A :rotfl::rotfl:
fire**work (:rotfl::rotfl:) : Love your pictures of the cats working out or not as the case may be!!!
Dreams, thank you for your kind words, so much appreciated. :A I'm temporarily banned from the loft by the kids (can't imagine why!!!!!) so they will be in charge of getting the books down.
Think they have a vision of me dangling from the loft hatch (not the first time I might add!
) or worse putting me foot through the ceiling!!! As if!!!!!
The first part of that porridge saying translates to 'old clothes' and yes .... cold porridge!!! I'm happy enough in old clothes but me porridge has to be warmed up a tad!!!!
Yep, Fly Cemetery is the alternative scottish name :rotfl::rotfl: You can go into a bakers and ask for a slice or two - the other name is a fruit slice
It's fairly tasty and my mum used to make it at home too.
ILC - yep snap! my puddy cat is obsessed with pens!
The amount of pens that go missing in this house!!!! I always know who the culprit is
Find them under sofas, in corners etc. She also takes them off upstairs to her 'secret den (pen) hideaway'!!!
She also fell in love with my computer keyboard brush (her new best friend! :heartsmil) and struts around with it like some sort of trophy!!!!! I tried to retrieve it, but she wasn't having any of that!! :rotfl::rotfl:
Bit like Noahs Ark here
but loving it!! :rotfl::rotfl: Paws are all fed and watered and now taking a rest before batteries are recharged!!!
Love to all who post here - have a wonderful day - just off now to get myself some breakfast while all is peaceful on the 'paws' front!!!! Alf xxxxMILITARY WIVES CHOIRSHELP for HEROES
