What do you do for your detox Firefly, would it kick start my weight loss.??
Anyone else find the daily sudoku hard today? Some days they just flow and others you just cant get a start, must be getting old.
Fred's pringle speaker came today so thats one gk sorted just waiting on the other one I won now.
Still waiting for DH's curry hamper as well was hoping it would come before DD2 went home.
Sorry you have a cold Wingo. Think they are going around at the moment.
Hope you are all having an OK day.

hiya sylv :A i do the same each time for detox,
it's not what some would call a 'proper detox' just something i've done for years when feeling a bit overfull & body needs a refresh as i call it
late evening i slice lemons & put in a glass half full of water, cover & leave in fridge ready for next morning,
then start the day off with the lemon/water topped up with hot water (so's it warm) (no coffee!!)
breakfast is fruit only (honeydew melon, grapes, sliced apple, etc)
lunch (i don't normally eat lunch but when on detox you have to have something) i usually have a mixed raw vegetable crunch dish, ie:
sliced peppers, celery, carrot, watercress, spinach or whatever you fancy as long as its raw & crunchy,
evening meal is steamed green veggies with white fish (no sauces!!) or brown rice with salmon, white fish, tuna etc
you've to drink plenty of water inbetween on/off all day or
herbal teas as well,
you can vary it with any veg/salad depending what you like
works for me anyway,:j
please be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0 -

What a lovely pic/saying FireFly. Thanks for the info in the detox. Sounds OK think I could manage that except for the lemon as my body just doesn't like anything citrous but dont suppose it would make a lot of difference if I missed that out. I drink a lot of hot water instead of tea so thats would be OK to miss the tea/coffee. Might give it a go.
Katie that sounds like a lovely walk you went on it must be lovely to be so close to the sea.
Catching up nicely with my comping today now all the visitors have gone home.

Firefly how many days together do you need to do it for it to be of benefit. thought I might try it every other day type of thing, would that work or does it need to be together. I think it would work well for losing a few pounds anyway just not having dairy etc.
Missing you iluvcats and also alfie and anyone else who usually pops by and hasn't lately.
How is the pup B.Sue? Is he behaving. My dd came with her cocker span and caused mayhem here. She disgraced herself in the middle of the lounge carpet and also the kitchen carpet. think it was because of my dogs. Lottie hid the whole time mostly under the coffee table in the corner. She is such a wuss.BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS0 -
That's a great idea for detox fire**fly
may try that, I feel really bloated and stuffed....even though I've not eaten much today.
Aw I love cocker spaniels Sylviadogs get too excited in front of other dogs. Jaspers been quite naughty lately when I've taken him for walks, I was talking to another lady yesterday and he would normally play with her dog. Instead he kept jumping on it and lashing his paws out as if to hit it! The dogs lovely white fur was all mucky from jasper
I think it just be the xmas treats he had.
I don't have a cold funny enough after all the sneezing I did this morning! I guess it's time for a good dust around!
Don't think my numbers came up tonight fire**fly(maybe next time eh!)
I've reported that trolls post from last as the post is still onBig thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -
Weather not so good here. Very stormy the last two nights. Earlier tonight it was attempting to snow.
Anyone receive their prizes from Pringles or Brothers Cider? I received the speakers from Pringles. Remembered the prizes from Brothers Ciders will be sent out early January.
I was watching the new series of Mrs Browns Boys earlier, it is really funny. Brendan O'Carroll (Mrs Brown) couldn't keep his face straight at times.
Good Luck everyone for 2013, hope we get the prizes we want.
