Good morning!!!! Hi to all! :)

Feeling more positive today, gave myself a good slap round me chops and told myself to buck up!!! It seems to have worked!!! :D

Take care all in snowy/icy conditions. Im pleased i had my walk yesterday, cos today not so good weather wise. So shan't be venturing out.

Love reading all your posts and well done on all your wins. Hugs to those who have snuffles and sneezes and are not feeling 100%. And thank you for your messages to me. :)

Wingo: You are such a sweet pea! :A I love your posts and when you say a funny, it makes me laugh so much. You have a wonderful way with words and humour - you should go in for tiebreakers - you are a natural - a born tiebreaker winner!!! You have a wonderful wit and i am fairly jealous!!

Im so sorry I missed congratulating your wee girl on her thirteenth birthday. :o So pleased that she had a wonderful time, so much excitement. And also so pleased that your wee girl will be ok and - I saw that you had hosp appointments etc. She is another sweet pea. God bless you all. xxxx Thinking of you always xxx

Anyhow, after i had slapped myself and came to my senses - I decided to do something constructive. Its freezing here and I needed to get working to warm myself up ...... so ..... Im defrosting my old freezer!!! :rotfl::rotfl: It got to the stage when I struggled to get the drawers shut! Brrrrrrr - bit of a cold chore!!!!:eek:

Anyhow, cant tell what was lurking in there  However, its sorted now and clean, ice free and up and running. :D So another thing done before Christmas. :D Just off now to have a nice bowl of soup and crusty roll. Then going to start wrapping some more pressies for my lovely family, with the puddy cats help!:rotfl::rotfl:

Love to you all, as always. Just a wee note, does anyone love the John Lewis advert with the snowman as much as i do. :o Just love it to bits - the music, the expression on that snowman's face - lol!!! Im easily pleased :)

Catch up later, off for my soup now. Love to all - Alf xxxxx

I'm glad you're on a positive note today ;) hope defrosting the freezer cheers you up! I used to defrost my last freezer with a wallpaper steamer (much quicker) hubby told me not to but I waited till he was out to do it! :p I'm just glad I've got a frost free one now but this one snores! It's very loud! :rotfl:

Lilrahi, LadyM gave birth to lovely lil Dexter on Monday around 1.30 (I think) mum & baby doing well :)

Postie knocks on door just as I had a huge box of Xmas decs in my arms so I quickly flung them down, flew downstairs, frantically run around for my door keys only for him to give me next doors parcel to take in :o he's not getting a Xmas present now! :D
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!
  • Hi all,
Just poking my head in quickly to say hello :santa2:.

(((HUGS))) to all who need them and a big congratulations to Lady M on the birth of her baby boy :j.

It's been ages since I've been in here, I hope everyone has had lots of wins.
I'm getting rather snowed under with all the advents at the mo, my DH jokingly says I'm addicted and need to get my "fix" by doing more and more comps:rotfl:.

I've not had as many wins recently, but really hoping to get something good soon.

    Lucky dust to all

:D I haven't got a wallpaper steamer but my neighbour came round and said use your hairdryer alfie!!! I've never given my freezer a set and blow dry  I get quite scared with electric things so i went down the old fashioned route of loadsa towels on the floor and just propping the freezer door open and letting it doing its own thing. I have to admit, the ice was fairly thick

Puddy cat was really miffed cos i banned her from the kitchen - I was scared she would nose into the freezer (she's just so nosey, I can't tell you, has to be in on everything!!) and I was worried that she would go in there and get stuck on the ice!!!!!:eek: However, all done now, just got a load of wet towels to wash!!! Cat's now sending up the zzzzzzz's on my dressing gown, curled up in a wee ball and very cozy!!

Wingo, I don't know how to post pictures but look was I found for your wee girl off the smilies: :bdaycake: :happylove - wishing her loadsa hugs and happy days and mega birthday wishes. xxxxx

  • Hi There,

I'm really keen to get into this comping thing, The only comps I enter at the moment is the ITV Daybreak/Lorraine/ This morning religously about 10 times a week. I really want to enter other comps so I have more chance of winning> i have never won a thing in my life so this would be kinda cool. I dont have a clue where to start and dont really understand some of the terms used like advent comps?? Any replies would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

Hi stresseddebt  and welcome :) the best way to start is read through 'velvet gloves comping guide' on the main comping forum. It as useful info in there when starting to comp, how to comp etc. good luck!

Sis phoned to see if I would pop to morrisons with her, we left at 13.45 and gotta few things but the queues were miles long with loads of empty tills! We ended up getting stuck in traffic and I had to call school to say I was late! :o that's it, I'm in for night now, kids don't feel well enough to go to gym!

Forgot to say....well done Becks on your great WEM today! :T
