What a shame you can't go to AT Becks. It seems such a shame I have Merlin passes and live so far from everything. Feel we didn't get full value out of them but did enjoy what we did get. Our Tesco vouchers have been mounting up as that is what we used to spend them on. Will have to look into hotels or meals out instead. Hope you win something nice instead.
Fire**fly I hope your DH is better soon.
The Bacardi sounds nice indie - well done!
PMS - teenagers are hard work. I should know.
Sylvia hope you get the ironing done for your DH. Love the pic. Mine was moaning if I didn't sort the underwear out he would have to go Commando!
Hope school photos go well stressed.

Hey everyone. Hope you're all okay. :)

I have my first WEM of October. :D I had an email to tell me that I was the winner of the Cash Genie competition on FB and have won £100. I could opt for it via bank transfer or cheque so I went with cheque as I'm always wary about giving my bank details to people. :)

It will come in very handy. :D

Aw sorry you missed out on Alton Towers Becks. That's the trouble with theme parks, you have to get the right day of good weather to go!

Fire**fly ((hugs)) to your DH, hope he's better soon xxx
They look good those steam generators. I got a chance to trial them for buzz agent at a discount price but didn't have the money at the time! :D

Sheils, good luck with finding another bargain break :) I've sent for a tesco card too, was telling hubby how you get some good deals from it :)

Have a great birthday CraSiEla xx

Hello all, haven't been around this morning as I have been to a Cremation :( It was my Cousin's Husband. I can honestly say it was one of the nicest I have been to, no singing, just lots of memories of him and his favourite song was played, 'Little Old Wine Drinker Me', LOL, that brought some smiles. 2 really funny things happened, at one point the Curate said that we would have a few moments silence to reflect on his life, within seconds all that you could hear was my old Dad gently snoring :o Bless him, he'd be mortified if he knew. Then as we were leaving, the lady who led the undertakers team came over for a word with me as we were friends at school. We chatted about our families and dogs and as we went to leave she was standing with her hand on her chest and I turned my head for a second then reached out to squeeze her hand as a goodbye but it wasn't there anymore and I ended up squeezing her boob  I was so embarrassed, she said I was only allowed one squeeze so not to do it again :o

Oh well, off to do some comps.

Thats good Firfly thanks for your effort in asking. I have a steam generator, shame on me, its fantastic had it for years. Problem is I still dont like ironing. OK once I get started.....

Well done on your win LM that will help you a lot with baby on the way.

Wingo, We still have to take our dogs out, next job I think.

B.Sue, Sorry you had to go to a cremation today. On the funny funeral story stopic, when we went to Step FIL funeral many years ago, we were in the funeral car on the way, driver went round an island and his hub cap fell off and was rolling around and he had to stop the car to retrieve it. Its awful when you cant laugh...

BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS
  • Just popped in to say Hi. Ive not been in the Inn much recently. Im finding I have less and less time to enter comps and it takes me half an hour to catch up with all the chat that goes on.

Well done on the win LM, that £100 certainly will help.

Aww sorry about Alton Towers Becks, hope you do find a time to get to go.

    Sorry about the funeral B.Sue.

I dont like ironing either, its why most of our clothes dont get ironed. Creases fall out and if things are folded or hung up straight from being dry they dont really need ironing anyway. I only iron school uniform now, takes me 2 sessions of 30-45 mins a time.

Sorry if Ive missed anyone (which I know I have, I was just randomly picking a couple of posts out) I must try and catch up on some more comps now. I only have another 30 mins today to get some more done. I am at my new course tonight, but found out its a 50 min drive away so need to leave early and wont be back till late. Im looking forward to it though and its something I want to do.

Good luck everyone, I'll pop in again at some point.

  • Well post has just been and the joys, he's bought a renewal form for the DLA we get for DS (he has been diagnosed with Autism). DH doesn't think he'll get it again this time as its been 3 years and he has improved a lot with his skills. Though I must admit I think we have been lucky to have not had a problem before with getting it and maybe it will end. I agree it should if we don't need it, but it will take some getting used to. Its not just the DLA, but the other help we get (CA, IS, higher tax credits).
