Just an update .. I cancelled my order as it just seems too many people to be honoured by HMV ...Also I could not think what I would really do that I don't do on my phone already ..

This is the deal on HUKD
at the time I am posting this there are 52 pages of comments ..Lots of people have ordered..Cynical me thinks HMV just wanted it's on line presence to look better than it should ..And now they have thousands more registered buying customers ..
    http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/samsung-galaxy-tab-8-9-3g-wifi-16gb-149-99-hmv-1328890#comments

HUKD is a much tougher site than MSE ..and trolling goes on all the time ..makes reading the comments funny ..but most people saying they just bought 300 units are just winding people up ..The people who do order 300 ...know not to post any comments :D

I think the important thing to remember is you have not purchased 2 - until they turn up !
You have ordered 2, and you have had an email from HMV confirming your order.
As you have correctly discovered, they have not taken any money, they are not 'holding' any money.
I assume the same goes for the thousands of us who have also 'ordered' one.
We are all sat with our fingers crossed hoping we do not all get cancellation emails tomorrow .....

For the record, I was looking at lap-tops only last week as my PC is at least 10 years old.
And my phone is so out-dated it celebrated its 9th birthday recently !
No apps, so wi-fi, no e or i or sat nav.....
and I can only store about 10 text messages.
So although this is not 'cutting edge and there are better, quicker, slimmer stuff out there - for some of us who still use quill and ink, this is a good deal.;)

still displayed at the same price and been 48 hours  not sure if it's a misprice now or HMV are just being useless.

Sorry I meant less than expected as in the amount on there (only 2 the 3rd wasnt listed as new) not the amount theyre selling them for. My bad :D
Id be more concerned with having to cancel the listing if it didnt arrive, can you get bad feedback for that? Im not buying anyway or maybe if they seem to be going on ebay Ill wait and see lol

For 40 quid I would just get the newer model. Though to be honest I might be tempted to pass on both and look further up the tablet range to something like the more powerful Asus Transformer, but that's quite a lot more cash unless you're somewhere like the US, and off-topic for this thread!

Bottom line, I can tell you I'd personally prefer the 10.1 tab 2 for an extra forty quid. But the forty quid price point is probably not available to everyone at the moment and I can't answer the question as for you or anyone else as I don't know what features you value, how much cash you have, how tech savvy you are etc etc.

Where can you get the tab2 for £40 more???
    :)
