For the last few years I have been following the PPI debate but convinced that I have never taken it out I never persued it.
I work for the NHS so get paid for 1 year when off sick this is why I know I never took it out. A work colleague said the same but investigated it further and to her surprise she had paid PPI.
I sent off a form last week to Natwest and recieved a letter this morning stating I had paid PPI with NW manufacturing (no idea)
and it will take 8 weeks to deal with my complaint.
In my letter I stated that I have never taken this out because of my employment, do I have a claim for this?

If you never asked for it, definitely.
Best of luck0 -

Depends on the type of PPI and how it was sold to you.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. I cant understand why people dont know they have PPI when it is on every single monthly statement that they receive as a separate entry.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
I do not think it is!!!!
New to 'posting', although avid reader of MoneySavingExpert.com!!!
Can I ask if anyone can help, please. We have bought cars from a wellknown large used car dealer (Rochdale area) - all finance provided/signed for etc., at the actual point of sale. I am trying to check whether we ever paid PPI on the cars purchased. Used Martyn's template to request information etc., and have received short letter from them saying that I need to contact the finance people directly. I am not completely sure who provided the finance (can guess, but had recent clear out!), but I was under the impression that if the company selling the car also handled all the finance, i.e., it was their salesmen who negotiated/provided the documentation and they would have received fees for handling the sale on behalf of the finance house - we just signed the document - then they were responsible for, at the very least, answering my query, in that, they handled the whole process.0 -
RDW, please post on your own thread. It is considered rude to hijack another thread on an unrelated subject.Haha. It wasn't, by the OP's account.
The OP has given us little to go on yet. So, it wouldnt be right to judge anything at this stage. However, some PPI does pay out on NHS workers and if the complaint is a verbal allegation without evidence to support it then on that reason (and assuming no other complaint reasons which succeed) you would expect rejection.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). No worries. The only threads you see where it is a free for all are sticky threads at the top of the forum. Often people who post on those are also told to post their own thread as they can get really messy and posts missed. On your own thread it is your subject and your discussion.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
