Post Office credit card

in Credit cards
Just used a PO credit card for a zero percent balance transfer. Was charged the usual fee but it was listed as a purchase & not included as part of the balanced transfer. Upon checking my statement, I noticed that they charged interest on this as a purchase. Although it was only £1.75, I felt this was out of order. When I complained, they immediately said they would refund it. So anyone using PO credit card for this purpose will need to check their statement carefully as I'm sure I'm not the only one this has happened to.

all of them do thisDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

all of them do this
I've found not all do.... some do, some don't. Eg my last MBNA BT fee didn't attract interest.
I'm guessing whether or not it's provided for in the T+Cs, some think it's just not worth the hassle of people phoning up and complaining. The amounts involved tend to be small and interest typically stops running pretty quickly as payments are applied to the interest bearing balance first.0 -
And some say they will in the T&Cs...and some don't say they will but still do!chattychappy wrote: »I've found not all do.... some do, some don't.
However, as the OP has found out, for the sake of £1.75 and some goodwill it's often cheaper for them to waive it than to tie up a CSA arguing the toss and the inevitable formal complaint ensuing.
But, depending on how they've done it the OP may see some residual interest (pennies) the following month. If that's the case will they call again?0
