I do download a lot. KC's package for 33GB as opposed to the 300GB package I am on is c£10.00 cheaper than the package I am on now. I am waiting for a call from KC's credit control department to see if they can reduce my package and I guess if so I will have to download less.

Awww, I love Labradors (pics on the Pet Care forum please? ;) ), but yikes, how much are you feeding him? We have a collie cross and she gets fed Wagg twice a day and one treat a day, we spend about £20 a month max!

I agree with trying to get your daughter to cover the cost of the broken iPhone and contract, if she's old enough.

He's a big dog. The Purina Beta is 3 x the price of Wagg and this pumps up the price.

I have tried feeding him on Wagg only but he will just vomit and get's very tired during our daily ten mile runs. He is an FT Labrador so larger & more athletic than a show dog.

I'd love to post some pictures!:j

It would be easier to get an answer from the Prophets of Baal than a contribution from my daughter, the darling joyful 15 year old.

Thanks Tabatha, I am addressing this as I receive council tax & housing benefit for my council home. I'll get this done shortly.

    Thanks again.

Oh yes. And somewhat amusingly eat very well. Adopting a vegetarian diet helped cut costs.

He sounds cute :) My mum adopted 2 ex Guide Dogs and found that Supadog is really good for dogs who don't get on well with other foods - £20 for 15kg at Jollyes, lasts her a month with her current adopted lab. She was advised Purina but like yourself found it expensive!

I'd love to post some pictures!:j Please do when you can!

  • I know this isn't the usual MSE advice, but I'd be tempted to default on the iphone contract. IMHO a bad credit rating can sometimes be a blessing in disguise for a person with bipolar, as it can limit the damage done during a manic episode. HTH x

Yes, that is correct. It is a lifetime policy with 150 & 10% excess with premiums of £22 a month.

I currently feed him 2/3 Wagg & 1/3 Purina Beta.

I'm glad that you can afford it. That's more than a weeks grocery bill for a family of four. Plus I work and do not receive any state benefits except for child allowance.

It may be harsh and I will get flamed, but you cannot (or rather the tax payer) afford to keep such an expensive pet.

Have you tried MIND to help you fill in the DLA forms? I filled them in for my husband a long time ago and found a pack on the internet by MIND (i think) that really helped me to fill it in x
