    Morning all

Bit grey here but not actually raining atm.

Had a lie in today as I have been quite busy with the foodbank this week. There is housework to do-must vacuum and dust as we have visitors round for a drink and a chat tomorrow evening.

May go into town to collect old specs from my lovely optician who has sorted out the twisted frames (sat on them. more than once). They will be ok for spares and I am more than pleased with my new glasses.

I finished my first crochet square yesterday. I have been getting that new magazine. So now I have mastered double and treble crochet and slip stitch. I will have a look at the instructions for granny squares given to me in that expensive workshop that I failed dismally in. I should be able to do it now!

Bitsey good luck with the car purchasing. Does DH start his job soon?

    BB hope Maud is improving.

Tea is fish and if I go into town I will get some from M&S.

Hugs and kind words to all in need.

    Have a good day all.

    Gintot

    Morning all,

Not been on much as the menfolk have been at home all week, and I am out of my normal routine.Plus DS2s GF has been here during the day,but she wasnt well at all.He took her to the walk in centre as she was having trouble breathing - her tonsils are so swollen. She'd been to the docs on Monday and he gave her some ABs for a kidney infection, they havent worked and they wouldnt give her an appt yesterday .Anyway she's got penicillin now,and slept for most of the day,he took her back(only lives up the road) once her Mum got back home to keep an eye out.She was cheap to feed ,only wanted a tin of tomato soup :)
The car has been laid up all week, got it fixed yesterday through a friend ,but still cost £500.Seems to have been a dear week,we bought some wallpaper and paint, and also had an electrical fault that needed sorting-think you just have weeks like that sometimes!
Did a bit of shopping at Aldos yesterday and got a chicken for tea, which was nice, stripped it,and now it'll turn into soup today.Stocked up on baked beans as my stock had run out completely.Got some blocks of butter, cheapest I've seen for a while.
I keep checking the news hoping and praying for some positive news about April,it must be absolutely heartbreaking for the parents.
BB hope Maud gets better soon, very cute pic.
Gintot-hope you master a granny square soon :)
    Keep well everyone.x

    Morning all!
What a day yesterday, the tree surgeons next door managed to wreck my side fence dropping branches on it, they have nailed all the broken wood back on and when challenged said they had done us a favour stopping several tons of tree falling on our garage! One handed OH a tenner saying that would buy a bit of wood, and offered to leave him his hammer and nails! OH swiftly pulled into house before he lost the plot, as there were 3 of them, so today I will properly survey the damage, and will be sending a recorded delivery letter to them, with their tenner enclosed, demanding the details of their insurance company, if they aren't parting with the dosh.
And breathe, Jools!!!!! OS wise pot of broth is bubbling away, need to iron and take mum for her shopping, and nip over to MIL's as her dvd player is acting up!
    Have a good day all!

Edited to add welcome Jessie 11!

    So sad and sorry :(
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
