I think the whole dog food industry is a puzzle to many people and a lot of us do not really know what we are feeding our dogs. Many years ago I tried mine on bakers - took me 2 weeks to stop one of them being sick!! Won't touch it again. However, since Milo got ill at xmas (liver disease/hepatitis) I've looked a lot more closely at the ingredients in food and found it amazing that foods you think are good are actually not that good. I had to find a dry food that was low in copper that all of mine could eat (as they swap bowls etc) so it had to be a food that Milo could eat without getting ill but that was good for the others too - the answer was James Well Beloved. The vet suggested putting him on a Hepatic diet - he didnt take to this - 10 months on and he's finally been given the all clear and is off the medication but its made me a lot more aware of dog food ingredients etc.
A home is not a home ..... without a dog
