I have no idea why, but the Land Registry strikes me as one of the most efficient organisations I have come across. They stick to their knitting and do it very well. Quite unlike any other government organisation in this country, so it's really strange.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
Nothing stopping you 'applying' to join the committee then negotiating with the farmer for him to pay most of the costs, given the heavy machinery which is probably causing the lion's share of the damage. It may be the roadway needs to be strengthened.

The legal agreements which govern these things may not have been drawn up very well, but if they work to someone's advantage it's very unlikely they'll agree to any change. Most farmers are quite happy with bumpy lanes. That's why they have 4 x 4s !0 -
