I did not expect as much negativity on what I thought was a friendly, supportive forum.
Don't worry about that too much it's just that some topics seem to generate a very heated debate with strong points of view. I have to observe that nobody has actually asked your requirements though so how do they know that the machine is good enough for your needs? I'm typing this now on my 2 year old low spec Dell which going by most peoples comments on this thread must mean it's got a very dated cpu and should be condemmed to the scrap heap!!! Far from it, i'm happy with surfing the web and email and doing some video editing. My parents and brother are also happy with the 1Ghz machines I've given them also for web surfing and email. So hope you have a lot of fun with your bargain machine.
As for the router keep and eye on this forum and also https://www.hotukdeals.com as i'm sure a cheap one will be posted soon. I've seen some ADSL ones recently for around the £40 mark.
Cheers

Why is it, when somebody finds an obvious bargain, people have to make up scare stories to try and put them down. Sometimes it's easier just to press the "Thanks" button and move on.
Agreed, or start their own bargain thread if they think they have found a better deal.
This is an obvious bargain for those that require the spec as listed.0 -
I'm with the above, not a good price originally but a GOOD deal for a basic Pc now for anyone who wants to but itEx forum ambassador

I brought one today with my nephew in tow so I got an extra £25 (10%) off.
I got the last one in my home town but they might have a few left in other stores
Includes a DVD rewritter, Colour printer 15" flat screen
Processor 3.2GHz
512 KB L2 Cache
533 FSB
160 GB Hard drive
They are clearing these out as I guess the new ones will have Vista on them, They were originally £399.00 so I am well chuffed that I got one for £225.00.
I have heard nothing but good reports about this company - quick, reliable, hassle free, customer service ( no doubt someone will now shatter my illusions)
Now I just have to find space to set it up and leave this old thing for my partner to use:D
Good spot.
Decided to pop down to Woolworths to se if they had any left. Still marked up at 400 pounds. Cashier checked on system. Still 400. Decided not to give up, so asked her to scan the box. 250!
Assistant went to collect from warehouse. Didn't have the D352 system, only the D360 with the 3.46GHz processor.
Excellent. Better spec and 17" monitor for the same price. The Lexmark printer is just a bonus.
XP Home
Celeron D360 processor
512MB DDR2 memory
160GB SATA 7200 rpm HDD
Dual Layer DVD Re-Writer
S3 graphics UniChrome Pro IGP
8 Channel High Definition Audio
17" SXGA LCD Monitor
Lexmark Z645 printer
Keyboard & Mouse.
Not bad for 250 pounds.0 -

Keep trying branches of Woolworth in your vicinity. You won't find a better deal currently.0 -
Forgot to see if the Woolworth Medion laptops had also been reduced. The models they stock have only 40GB and 60GB HDDs respectively. But, if the price is right...0

My first PC cost me £3200!
Mind you it did have a 20MB hard disk AND 512K RAM
Remember, bargain hunters - today's top spec machines will be in the bargain bins in six months time. I can't think of a reason (other than vanity) why the latest spec is ever required - now is the time to be buying what didn't sell at Christmas. Can I help?0 -
So they gave you the better one just because they didn't have the D352 or is the D360 also £250?
Apparently, the D360 is the same price. It wasn't shown inthe shop. They only had the boxes of a 3.06GHz model with an 80GB HDD and the D352 model.
So I was surprised when he came out with the D360 with the 17" monitor.
All the models are the same price, 250 pounds.0
