Hi. Moved back in with my parents, and I can't help but think that they are being taken the !!!! out of by Virgin. Currently, they have:
Talk - Evening & Weekend Local
M+ (Starter)
Broadband Size L
Telephone Line Rental
They make a few calls a month, mainly to local 01 numbers, and Virgin are charging them £75 per month for the privledge! To me, I think that's shocking. They don't even hove digital - it's still an old NTL box!! Download speed for BB is about 10mb/s. Couldn't believe it - I think Virgin are taking them for a ride, personally. I was going to ring up and play holy hell with them, but what do you think I should do? What's the best offer around? TV has moved on a lot in the last few years, and I would like them to be taking advantage of this!
Any help appreciated:beer:

It's not up to the supplier to alter the tariff, it's down to the customer to review it annually and negotiate if they wish.
It's not your account to discuss with VM without their authority. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Yeah thanks for that... Not the information I'm looking for. I will obtain the relevant permission to speak with VM if itcomes to that. Just wondering what peoples opinions are on the best packages available at the moment0

There are no suppliers particularly better (or worse) than Virgin. The least amount of upheaval would be to simply "modernise" the "collections" which they currently subscribe to from Virgin. I'd be demanding a digital connection with an improved broadband speed for a start. A landline telephone package with free evening and weekend calls is the minimum they should be offered.Just wondering what peoples opinions are on the best packages available at the moment
Unless your parents are particularly elderly and infirm, they can ring up themselves-you need only be in the background to help.
I bet if they logged onto "My Virgin Media" then clicked on "My offers" there would already be a multitude of alternatives available to them.
It's a pity their supplier hasn't already been pro-active in assisting them to upgrade before now.0 -
