well apart from the size difference no and its extremly easy you just right click and send to - the drive (that your memory stick is ) but if she wants to free up space on the laptop your better of looking at a portable hard driveReplies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. If your reply cannot be nice, has an underlying issue, or you believe that you are God, please post in another forum. Thank you0

Could she not transfer the data to the stick and delete the documents on the laptop to lighten the load?0

yes she could - but,as Jamie said, (and especially if they are important docs) you WOULD be better off with an external hard drive; I have known sticks become corrupted; they're not ideal for long term storage, really.Could she not transfer the data to the stick and delete the documents on the laptop to lighten the load?
Or you could 'cloud' them.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Worth noting that external herd drives are just as likely to stop working as memory sticks, in my experience more so.
If the data/information is of serious worth to you then I would consider using wither two sticks or two drives.0
