Breeder thinks our biggest problem will be him digging his out often:eek:
Edit, and so far he LOVES cuddles.. His coat has the craziest, softest feeling. The breeder's grown up dogs were sitting on my Lap today and I was really enjoying the way they feel.
What sort of work will he do? Can I bring DD to cuddle him? Or would you like to come and visit us?Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

He will be ratter extraordinaire, I hope! In charge of vermin control.
You can visit here, we can visit you....either. He has to have his jabs before he can visit anywhere though.. (but he can receive visitors before then)

No more hail here yet, but it's windy and the weather is more like the winter end of autumnal......it's odd to me to see so much green leaf about with this sort of weather.0 -
Watching X Factor.... dunno why really - I only really 'enjoy' it when there's the potential to see somebody exceedingly dire, or somebody kicks off and argues0

I rather like the idea of somebody so small and fluffy being in charge of anything.
Will email you.
Edit: I have just shown the pic of curly dog to DD. She squealed, as expected. When I told her who he's going to belong to, she squealed again - "Oooh can we go and see him? Can we go and see him?"Do you know anyone who's bereaved? I'll be amazed if they're not at least partly to blame. Which is a shame, because then both the accused and the accuser could have had their day in court rather than what's happening now.
Well, I didn't expect that to come out quite so quickly.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/crime/jimmy-savile/9606494/Jimmy-Savile-was-investigated-by-police-at-least-six-times.htmlI read Malcolm Gladwell's New Yorker article about a similarly high profile American case - the Sandusky case. It's a long article, and makes uncomfortable reading, but as a parent of kids in the relevant age group, I feel better informed for having read it. It's here. (Some people feel that Gladwell's article underplays how much at fauilt the Penn State officials were in not taking action sooner, but as a parent, that's not my primary concern. I still feel more able to tell my kids what to watch out for, which is the important bit for me.)
The Sandusky case is an interesting parallel imo. I don't know if you've caught it, but he has been sentenced this week and has been blaming his victims. A very strange statement made to the college radio station and then again in court. It is every one else's fault apart from Sandusky's apparently. I think there are parallels between Penn State head coach Joe Paterno and those at the BBC who did nothing. I don't think Paterno was fundamentally a bad person, I just think he chose to bury his head in the sand and not believe what he was hearing about his friend. A similar scenario to many at the beeb, though when this grows to an institutional cover-up that's never good. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
