    That's a bit creepy.

Your package helped like billy-oh. :D. Dh thinks it might cure the common cold and so you are well placed in your research role. Give sweet packages to the ailing!

:D I could be rude about homeopaths with that statement but I won't.
Glad I could help, I made some more so there's plenty spare if you need a top-up.

Just reviewing the rejected candidates and now am a bit worried that I have shortlisted the wrong ones :( If only my boss didn't trust me absolutely implicitly.

I found it when I was looking for puzzles and questions for an end of year brainteaser quiz. Also use this site to demonstrate "psychic powers" (before, honourably, debunking them).

I've a feeling I've posted it before anyway. Getting harder to find ones that can't be looked up on the internet!
Over to you guys- can you suggest any (I'm assuming my workmates aren't logged into this forum)
    Puzzles/riddles/lateral thinking questions?:)

Priceless! All those people with "intelligent" scientific and rational jobs writing in with ludicrous explanations of how it does it. And the people saying that sometimes it "removes the wrong card". How could they think that without noticing what's really going on??? Fabulous demonstration of misdirection. DS is asleep now, but I'll try it on him tomorrow and see how long it takes him to work it out. :)

    Thanks zag.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)

Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Quite normal to have demand outstrip supply for staff parking in city hospitals. Frequently land locked and intensly developed sites.

Parking for patients needs to be prioritised so I think it fair for there to be sanctions for 'illegal' parking.

There should be more park and ride for staff and patients for hospitals - or best of all good public transport. The problem with out of London hospitals is that when staff come off late shifts buses have stopped running or are very infrequent.

It was more the fact that they would have to pay for a monthly ticket, turn up and there was no free spaces.
Look around for a space for 10 minutes then your starting to panic and think your going to be late and that is when you illegally park.

Park and ride sounds a better idea but that can be hard to implement for a city hospital.

Here is a puzzle that was another thread yesterday. You have to be precise in your answers, so King's Cross with the apostrophe in the right place etc

I'm pleased to say that DS saw how he was doing it immediately. :D

That's very impressive. How old is he?

I liked that but realised that as a Sarf Londoner (and a new one at that) iI'm closer to the tram network than the underground. There's scores and scores of underground stations I'd struggle to recognise the names of.

Let alone the more out-of-town NPs from muchas many miles away.

At least that was the excuse I used when I got stuck on some of the clues.

I thought that quite a lot of those explanations were tongue very firmly in cheek. At least I hope they were. I wouldn't put it past the site's author to have written quite a few of those himself.
