I am saving my Nectar points in a scheme which doesn't let me use them until Dec 1st. So far I have £50 worth.
I make my own cards and gifts (it's my trade) and anything I need to buy will be bought on the CC and paid off completely in January. Well that's the plan anyhoo.
I make my own mincemeat for pies ( I can add extra brandy that way) and home brew the ale and wine. (got banana wine on the go at the moment)
Although I did buy some posh red wine from a supermarket that was having a half price wine deal, £5.99 instead of £13 and can be laid down for a few years too.

Here's a tip, but a couple of rubber stamps and a few stamp pads. Use plain brown wrapping paper and then stamp it with the inked stamps. Instant personalised individual wrapping paper. You can sometimes get rubber stamps for about 99p each from craft shops. Anyone that doesn't appreciate something handmade isn't worth buying for.The "Bloodlust" Clique - Morally equal to all. Will do with Christmas Cards what i did in 2006, not buy any and donate the money i would have spent to PDSA and Cats Protection.
Not one person minded when i told them that was what i was doing,
and felt so much better
Will have to be better prepared with food this year as i didn't have any luck leaving it til Christmas Eve.
Will aim to get the pudding by the end of the month

Hiya - I know WH Smith do, as do Virgin, HMV, Debenhams etc etc - probably M&S and any store that sells gift cards really as you can choose the amount and then top it up as you need to.
I intend to put around £1 on it each time I go to Boots as that will be painless, but be nice to see when Xmas comes along, even if I don't use it for Xmas and use it for 2008 toiletries or something...MFW #185

Hi peeps
Just ot add to my christmas box thats lurkign under the bed - ive decided that my mummys gift hamper will be tiger themed.
Today i brought a cuddle 'cuddles' tiger - which is fairly big and soft so i figure ill put that in one of the deeper baskets and then i think i will go about adopting a tiger as her christmas present so i cna have the certificate framed and in the basket too along with the notes etc they've sent her about 'her' tiger as she loves them so much.
I will have to have a look for what else i can find but i want to see if i cna get soem fake/plastic tiger lillies to fill out the basket with round the tiger as these are her favourite flowers tooTime to find me again0 -
