  • My mum bought perfume yesterday from Boots both 100ml bottles and only got spent points no 500 bonus emailed boots and they said offer finished is this right or is the lady wrong?

What you would of got was 500 points for buying the perfume (500 total not extra) so you get no 'basic'points but had she scanned your voucher for double points you would of got 204 points as well, so 704 in total. I thought this offer had finished though

dont know if this is relevant, but I tried it online and it works..so tested it instore today and it works instore as well!!!

the £5 wys £20 coupons I was sent in the post today can be used, then the balance be paid with points :D Previously I was told that you had to pay the full balance in points,no coupons could be used as well.....but obviously thats not the case! The SA did say it wouldnt work...but I explained it worked online and asked if she would try...and she was as amazed and happy as me when it worked!!!

This should also apply to any other money off coupons you can use instore :D

    hth :)

think the SS till will require an SA to authorise the moc.....but if questioned either at SS or on a manned till, just say you ordered online and it worked, s it should work instore and would they at least try it please? Theres nothing on my £5 mocs that say they cant be used to part pay with points!

The SA I used seemed surprised...so I wonder if this is a new part of the points system, or its always done this? ;) I will be making the most of it thats for sure! Have a few points to use up from the perfume glitch :rotfl:

As a CA (we don't have SA's anymore) I know some coupons will and some won't, the only way to know for sure is to try it

This is really interesting. Did you get the SA to scan the coupon before she scanned the perfume, then ask to pay with points?

i didnt buy perfume instore...i bought 3 of the Boots own false nail kits (£8.50 each on 3for2), a bottle of juice and some hair slides for DD1....came to about £22....she scanned everything, then I handed her the £5 wys spend £20 coupon and asked if she'd try it...it scnned ok and allowed me to put in my advantage card and pay the balance :)
