To be placed in the Support Group you need to meet one or more of the SG descriptors. See page 24 of the following

    http://www.direct.gov.uk/prod_consum_dg/groups/dg_digitalassets/@dg/@en/@disabled/documents/digitalasset/dg_177366.pdf

To be clear, the statement "a return to work is unlikely for at least 2 years" does not qualify you for the SG.

I certainly cannot do either of these
    1. Mobilising unaided by another person with or without a walking stick, manual wheelchair or other aid if such aid can reasonably be used.
    Cannot either:
    (a) mobilise more than 50 metres on level ground without stopping in order to avoid significant discomfort or exhaustion; or
    (b) repeatedly mobilise 50 metres within a reasonable timescale because of significant discomfort or exhaustion.
I can go a fortnight without leaving the house let alone walk a distance, some days unable to get dressed as my body hurts so much.

You may already understand this but the test is not walking, it is mobilising.

Is there any reasons why you cannot propel a manual wheelchair 50m? The answer is probably no from what you have posted, but unless you address both parts of the descriptor you will not qualify for the Support Group.

It's the same for the other SG descriptors, you have to properly read the descriptor and show you meet it exactly, or even better, exceed the requirement.

It's not enough to just say you can't do these things, you need to provide evidence that is not only supportive of your statements, but addresses the descriptors directly whenever possible.
