  • You can buy a warranty from anywhere so if you insist on having one, shop around. D&G will cover a fridge freezer for £24 a year - although I haven't looked into the terms.

    Personally, I'm not a believer in extended warranties for the reasons mentioned above.

  • im hoping someone can help...i bought a 32in toshiba lcd tv from comet 3 years ago i took out an extended warrenty which runs out next yeasr...since the i have to call out an repair engineer twice (3rd one soon) as the on off button is faulty and keep breaking so i cant turn the tv on.. the help line people have been rude and told me im not allowed a refund even though it is a design fault(3 wks after i bought it all on off switches changed design)...i have been told that i should keep the tv on and turn it off at the plug(no t a good idea i have small kids)..i was also told to shut up and i would be hung up on if i continued to complain... and i have been told now that is=f i want it repaired i have to take the tv in to be sent away.....long story short can i demand a replacement if its a design fault that keeps breaking...i paid £649 in total inc warr:mad::mad:
  • What about contacting the BBB?? If they are not willing to fix the problem some one needs to know.

    Being rude isn't acceptable but one has to ask what caused them to be rude in the first instance. Only you know that.

    Write to the CEO laying out your complaint in accurate detail but keep it totally unemotional.

  • i wasnt rude the person on the phone just couldnt be bothered and when i started asking questions he just turned nasty,how am i suppose to now what do do unless you ask
