I found a 1p item yesterday in T, 52g bag of costa coffee although date is BB 09/13 hanging on a clip strip. Scanned and bought fine.

Also had an issue with Xmas stock which was previously scanning 1p, now shows product not found. I had some xmas napkins yesterday which would not scan on self scan, or at the till. The SA took them away and brought them back and said they were 20p, so I bought them anyway.

Last week I had some xmas tags (the long ones) and a tiny xmas gift bag which scanned at 1p on the self hand scanner, then at the checkout something pinged up to be checked. The SA, overrode it without checking and after leaving the store I saw they were not on the bill !
Still virtually alcohol free since 4/1/15. (10 Xmas/ New Year/Birthday drinks)

I hope my local hasn't caught on to this. An item that I previously bought for 1p also came up with 'item will not scan'.
Always on the hunt for a bargain.

It has nothing to do with the store - Reduced to clear items go through either a 8 or 12 week reduction phase - Reduced by 25%, then 50%, then 75% before finally being reduced to a penny - After this period of time the stock is then essentially written off and the product no longer scans through the system. Any 1p Christmas stock you find in stores will no longer be scanning.

Just been in Tescos, saw a box of choccies reduced from £20 down to £7, so thought I'd get one - when I zapped it with the DIY scanner, it came up as 1p! So I bought the other three boxes on the shelf too!!

It's called Tesco Finest Jewellery box chocolate assortment, in a large green and white box.

    Barcode: 5053947419539 460g. Best before Nov. 14.

The best bit was that when I finished my shopping, I received a price match 3p off next shop coupon - lol!!

Hi I can confirm that they are still about My neice informed me that were she works in Tescos Crawley there quite a few on the shelf I then managed to get 10 boxes ( 3 trips in and out of the shop using self scanner) My neice said she believes there is plenty in the stock room which she would try and get put out later on today any one living in this area might be worth the visit
