Hi all
Well last week was my first meal plan week and it was excellent. Stuck to my plan and knew exactly what I was having when. Made life so much easier and I was able to control my shopping budget well.
So this week:
Sunday; Roast lamb, roast potatoes, parsnips and cauliflower cheese
Monday: piri piri chicken, wedges, peas and carrots
Tuesday: Lasagne with salad
Wednesday: Quorn escalopes with mash and mixed veg
Thursday; Spaghetti carbonara with Garlic doughballs
Friday: Fish pie with broccoli and sweetcorn
Saturday: Pizza0 -
Been meaning to post here for ages, so here goes:
Sunday:Roast lamb, roast spuds, parsnips,cabbage, broccolli, yorkshires, gravy.
Monday:Cold lamb in pittas with salad, sour cream, mint sauce.
Tuesday:Bubble and squeak, fried egg or omlette, salad.
Wednesday:Pasta, pesto,salad.
Thursday:Sausage casserole(freezer) and rice.
Friday:Spaghetti Bolognese(freezer) and salad.
Saturday:Grilled tuna, caper sauce and roasted peppers/aubergines/courgettes.
Phew, now have to try and stick to it!!!:DOf all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.....0 -
Bit late posting this week as we've already had two of the meals... but:
Sat: BBQ Chicken (Marinaded tikka and honey & mustard chicken style) salad, wraps, Lamb Mince 'kebabs'
Sun: Steak, Sweet potato wedges and corn on the cob
Mon: Chicken & Broccoli pasta bake
Tues: H/m Mini Toad in the Hole with green beans and carrots
Weds: Cod wrapped in bacon with creamy potatoes
Thurs: Risotto (prob Chicken)
Fri: H/m Pizza (as always!)
Everyones menus sound lovely as ever, always get loads of ideas!0 -
Late as usual - and probably wont stick religiously to it (I tend to change at the last minute according to who is coming for dinner, what surprise ingredients my father brings round, last minute engagements or my mood) but it's still good to plan a it means I have something to work with and no last minute dash to the shops.
Saturday - HM pizza && salad
Sunday - Mixed antipasto, Roast lamb and all the trimmings, Easter panetone (Shaped like a dove)
Monday - [STRIKE]Something with left over lamb,[/STRIKE] BBQ at friend's Lemon meringue pie
Tuesday - [STRIKE]Big soup and cheese toasties[/STRIKE] Cold roast lamb and rice salad
Weds - [STRIKE]Mexican "lasagna"[/STRIKE] Chilli
Thursday -[STRIKE] Pasta fagioli[/STRIKE] Nicoise Salad as too warm for soup
Friday - Paella using up oddments of frozen fish in freezer (squid, scallops, prawns). If boys dont want it they can defrost something else! I'm no short order cook!NSD 0/150 -
Ok, been a bit lazy, so here goes:
Sat - ate out
Sun - pizza & salad & garlic bread
Mon - out for lunch, roast chicken & trimmings, freeze carcass for soup in future
Tues - away, take chicken pasta for lunch
Weds - lunch out, chicken pasta bake
Thurs - away, take tuna???? or cheese pasta salad for lunch
Fri - lunch out or survive on cereal bars till home mid afternoon, spicy pork & beans with rice

Just done a invantory and decided to do a store cupboard challenge. Should be quiet easy this week.

Thursday: Lamb Hotpot with veg
Friday: Meatballs with Rice with salad
breakfasts are cereal for me and cereal bars and fruit for OH
lunches are soup and bread roll, bagel and filling or left overs - usual.***PROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBT***
Reclaimed my bank charges - got £250 back from HSBC and £88 from First Direct0 -
just to let anyone know who might be interested: the rabbit & butternut squash mush makes a fabulous pie filling - and it is even great cold! It is a definite 'do again'.Is it home time yet?0

Today: Pork chops with bubble and squeak (never made it before)
