Ok, here is the solution to the security message on withdrawl -:

    1) Log into PayPal
    2) Click "Withdraw to bank account"
    3) Input amount of funds you want to withdraw

Now, at this point, PayPal will say the funds will take 4 hours to hit your bank account.

    4) Click the Cancel button

PayPal will now say the withdrawl period is 24 hours.

    5) Click the Cancel button.

You are now back at PayPals main account screen.

    6) Click Withdraw and "transfer to bank".
    7) Input the funds you wish to withdraw, and click OK.

Those funds will be in your bank account quicker than you can log into that bank account to check!

    Have fun!

Just tried it & it worked:) Cheers for that.

The quote might be down to 2 days, I haven't yet seen the money appear in 2 days, 3 is the lowest I've had it down to

My transfers from both my micro and premier account seem to take between 20 minutes and 2 hours. It is odd really as previously mine seemed to take longer than other peoples, I often waited a full 4 working days.

Mind you I don't check the transfers very often, so it may be that the ones I check are arriving instantly, but th eones I don't are taking longer- as I really wouldn't notice

Nothing, the op is just a red herring. It doesn't work. But if you click cancel enough times you will see 4, 2, 21, 24 and 72 hours, as I have done! But the actual time is always the same.

Same as above - i tried the cancel function several times until i was presented with the 2hr withdrawal time screen - i hit the submit button and within 10mins received an email telling me that for security reasons the funds have been held for 24hrs  It took the full 24hrs before i received another email telling me the funds had been released!!

My previous/first withdrawal using this 'quicker' system took about 15mins from paypal to bank...

Ok perhaps it doesn't work, however it wasn't a deliberate red herring and I was trying to provide useful information, which worked for me.
