Great for a fiver if you can get one but couldn't believe the price of the add-ons. Extra for towels, hairdryer, internet, entertainment package etc.

Surely that's a necessity in a hotel room with a bathroom and shouldn't be classed as an 'extra' !

Having stayed in the London Kings Cross Tune hotel at the end of August (got it for £13 total including the towels/toiletries package and the TV) I disagree. Even with the chargeable add-ons, these hotels, if you get them for a good price, are definitely worth the booking process. I would recommend them, I found my room to be on a par with a refurbished Premier Inn (although granted a smaller room space-wise), and way way nicer than travelodge.

Even at their regular price (Kings Cross is around £40 per night including towels/toiletries and TV) they are a good deal, and I'd have no issue paying that price for it (and probably will, early next year).

If the principle of paying under £2 per night for your towels and toiletries when you're getting a hotel room in a city centre location for £5 or even £35, is an issue for you, then don't book with them, simple as that .

I agree balletshoes, I've stayed several times with them in London on special deals, even with the add ons its a great price. Don't have an issue with them itemising things and selling them as add ons. Would definitely recommend them .
